This is a great looking and very functional watch for the price, so I was very disappointed to find it didn't work properly. Close examination revealed a tiny plastic collar preventing the crown from being fully depressed as necessary. I'm aware most new watches come with a small plastic tab that must be removed to activate the watch: this was not that. Those tabs are designed to be easily removed with one's fingertips. This collar (shown in the photo) was barely accessible due to the crown, and could not be removed even with fine-tipped watch repair tools. Chronograph watches are more than just stylish accessories. Wearing one gives you access to a ton of features. In addition to telling the time, they can perform as a functional stopwatch. And some models have markings within the bezel or outer dial that feature a second time zone or a tachymeter to measure speed. The Timex Expedition Field Chronograph T49904 is a bracelet watch with a round case made of brass, giving it a sturdy and durable build. The watch dial is analog, featuring Arabic numerals as the marker style. With its quartz mechanism type, this watch guarantees accurate timekeeping. Around the dial is a beveled chapter ring for the Timex Expedition Chronograph’s tachymeter and second markings. All are finished in the same sand color as the dial markings. The only color on the Timex dial, besides the white hour and minute hands, are the orange tipped running second hand and the orange tipped chronograph second hand. The minute totalizer hand and the 1/20 of a second hand are white like the hour and minute hand. This makes for a very visible and cool looking watch.
