About this deal

The Stormwolf will have two roles inside out list, the first is it makes a perfect transport to move the Wulfen around the table. The second role it can perform is as an anti-vehicle unit. With its powerful strength 9 lascannon and strength 7 Skyhammer Missile Launcher it can dish out some serious wounds on most light armoured vehicles in a single turn. As it can fly your opponent is going to subtract 1 from their hit rolls that target it as well. I did about two of the darker colors and three of the lighter colors. I applied every color while the previous one was still wet and basically just feathered the transitions to blend everything together. I started by priming the model with Grey Seer primer, though if you’re interested in doing a proper zenithal undercoat, doing Mechanicus Standard Grey first and a zenithal hit of Grey Seer is a good way to do it. After that I painted the model with a couple of thin coats of The Fang. They’re heavily influenced by Norse mythology and Viking lore, which is never a bad thing. They incorporate elements such as the Great Companies, the use of longships, and the concept of “The Allfather” (akin to Odin in Norse mythology). Hey everyone! New to Space Wolves and just wondering if anyone has any good 500 point lists for Combat Patrol? Me and a few friends are putting some armies together (Grey Knights, Tsons, T'au, and Tyranids) and I'm trying to put together a list that can hold its own against these factions. Here is what I have so far:

Well once you’ve got that lot painted and have a few games under your belt, you may want to think about another HQ unit at the very least. Bjorn the Fell-handed could be good for this, or any of the other great Space Wolf special characters. Even if you choose not to get Bjorn, perhaps consider purchasing a Wulfen Dreadnought……. Another thematically strong Combat Patrol here. Space Wolves are ferocious, prefering close quarter combat. Which is not only reflected in the weapon choices of the Marines but also the hulking great Invictor, which is armed with a flame-thrower. Even the Lieutenant is ready to get up close and personal with a trusty power axe. Don’t worry, they’ve got guns too, but theyd probably prefer to fire them in the air as a victory celebration. Are They Difficult To Paint? Finally there are the edge highlights – I hit pretty much the entire model with edge highlights of Reaper Ghost White, a nice very light off-white which goes well here without being as overpowering as pure white. If you seek to earn yourself a glorious saga in battle, then Combat Patrol: Space Wolves will provide you with the heroic warriors you need! The contents of this set have been specifically chosen to provide you with an ideal Space Wolves force for Combat Patrol sized games – approximately 25 Power Level's worth of miniatures.

Step 5. Shoulderpads

For the red, I highlighted it with a desaturated ochre and this included the markings on the shoulder and knee to help really pop the patterns out. Final Details This particular model was a gift for SD47 when he started playing Space Wolves. I really liked the Krom Dragongaze model and used it as an excuse to paint one up. Color-wise, I tend to go with lighter tones for the Space Wolves I paint. Krom’s a pretty complicated model with a lot going on, but I ended up using only a handful of colors when painting him. Credit: Robert “TheChirurgeon” Jones The Armor Basics Haldor was a very fun model to paint with a variety of materials and a fun, dynamic pose. As usual I went for a clean ‘eavy metal look but decided to alter the color scheme somewhat. Our goal is to build upon and consolidate the great work already being done by other community members across various forums, reddit threads, and hobby blogs, and bring together a comprehensive library of all these useful Build Instruction booklets.

The Space Wolves are a savage Space Marine Chapter of merciless hunters. They hail from the icy death world of Fenris and strive to emulate the strength, cunning and howling ferocity of their Primarch: Leman Russ, the Wolf King. In their pursuit of the enemies of Mankind across the Sea of Stars, the Space Wolves employ the advanced technology and deadly weapons of the Adeptus Astartes under a skin of seemingly feral barbarity. The armoured flanks of their battle tanks are inscribed with runic totems. In the glare of plasma coils glint the fangs of primitive fetishes, and over power armour the colour of threatening storms are hung the pelts of alpha predators. Alongside them lope the giant wolves of their home world, and the Space Wolves take up their loud howls when the warriors’ keen senses detect their quarry at last run to ground. With audacious boasts, the taking of impetuous risks and the joyful roars of warriors born, the Space Wolves are a Chapter of heroes who wage war without fear or doubt, each seeking to forge a saga worthy of immortalisation. We are a small team of Warhammer Enthusiasts and miniature collectors, hoping to support and further promote the hobby. The result? Tense, involved, but straightforward games that can be played in less than an hour.* There’s still plenty of nuance for Warhammer 40,000 experts to enjoy – swapping out Enhancements and Secondary Objectives to mix up their playstyle, and mastering each faction’s Combat Patrol in turn, without having to build up a full Incursion or Strike Force-sized army. GW has used two methods to attempt to balance the boxes against one another. First, although the models in the box set may have many weapon options, there’s a particular loadout you’re supposed to equip your models with. One of my big questions for this list is squeezing in a Ragnar instead of a Priest? I'd have to sacrifice a lot of firepower from the Long Fangs to do it, but maybe it is worth it? Really looking for ways to make the list more efficient and deadly! Thanks! I also decided I didn’t want to go with yellow as my spot color but instead something darker and decided on desaturated brown-red, leveraging Vallejo Model Color Cavalry Brown and Hull Red. I went with a heresy style set of markings, insignia and trim.

After basecoats, I applied some drybrushing to the various areas, a dark blue grey for the darkest areas and then lighter colors for the lighter areas (Vallejo Iraqi Sand and Pale Sand). And that’s it! This guy was on the whole pretty easy to paint and I’m very happy with how he turned out. Credit: Robert “TheChirurgeon” Jones Bonus: Krom Dragongaze The Warhammer 40K Combat Patrol: Blood Angels is a boxed set of 15 miniatures of collective 500-point value. The Blood Angels are another Space Marines Chapter, and they are direct descendants of the primarchs, the genetically-engineered sons of the Emperor of Mankind. In the story of the game, the Blood Angels have suffered heavy defeats, leading the vanguard against xenos across the universe and facing countless foes. The Wolf Pelts are base-coated with Dryad Bark, then I drybrush them in progressive layers with Mournfang Brown mixed with increasing amounts of Reaper Polished Bone. The Gemstones are Altdorf Guard Blue washed with Drakenhof Nightshade and highlighted along the edges with Reaper Snow Shadow and Ghost White for the blue, while the red are Mephiston Red washed with Carroburg Crimson and edge-highlighted with Reaper Pure White mixed with a little Mephiston Red.If you seek to earn yourself a glorious saga in battle, then Combat Patrol: Space Wolves will provide you with the heroic warriors you need! Getting started with Warhammer 40,000 can be a daunting task when you first take a look at the hobby. There are so many miniatures, rules, and dyes to assemble, study, and use. It can frankly feel overwhelming. For a while now, Games Workshop, the publisher of the game, has worked on Combat Patrols, which usually consist of enough miniatures and models to create a solid 400-500-point army.
