Instructions Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 2 days in the refrigerator. Don't miss my Thai Iced Tea recipe! Can you double We kept this recipe simple and just let the flavour of the chocolate and Baileys shine through. However, there are a couple of ways that you can flavour this Baileys hot choc so that it is different every time.

Baileys® Original Irish Cream – This won’t come as a surprise, though you could use Baileys Almande for something sweet and vegan. Depending on the time of year and where you live, you could even use their salted caramel, orange truffle, coffee, or chocolate luxe flavors. Chocolate topping– This could be syrup, melted chocolate, or chocolate shavings. Whatever you like best. Use dairy free alternative in place of the milk. Some dairy free milks are sweet, so keep that in mind before adding sugar. Use the magic ratio, then adjust as needed. The ratio we like is 1 cup hot chocolate to 1 ounce Baileys. Of course, you can always add more!

Chocolate - Melted chocolate provide the signature chocolatey flavor, we recommend using a rich chocolate like semisweet or dark chocolate chunks or chips. For a long-lasting hot cocoa, serve the hot cocoa in double-walled glass mugs to keep the cocoa hot and the outside cool to the touch. This is the best recipe for a classic and delicious hot chocolate. It uses milk instead of water for a creamier finish and even includes melted chocolate in the mix for added decadence. Make a simple chocolate syrup by stirring together sugar and cocoa powder, adding water, and whisking it together in a small pot over medium-low heat. Multiply the recipe as needed for a crowd. The recipe below makes two 1-cup servings, so multiply as desired!

Cocoa powder-Use unsweetened cocoa powder or Dutch processed. You can also dust a little cocoa powder on top before serving. See recipe card below for a full list of ingredients and measurements. Substitutions and Variations Get cozy and unwind with a mug of our Baileys Hot Chocolate! It features rich chocolate, creamy Baileys, and warm vanilla extract. This decadent hot chocolate requires minimal effort and only takes a few minutes to make. Less sweet - Omit the granulated sugar from the recipe for a less sweet and more pure hot chocolate taste. Interestingly, Baileys Irish Creamis the most popular liqueur sold worldwide. Here’s a little more about what it is and what makes it great:Cook on HIGH for 1.5 hours. Stir every 30 minutes to prevent the chocolate from burning to the bottom. To make this a super indulgent hot chocolate with Baileys, we topped ours with squirty creamy, a drizzle of Chocolate Sauce and some chocolate curls. A drizzle of caramel sauce on top is also really good. I love Baileys in my coffee and other hot drinks with Baileys. I have always wanted to know how to make hot chocolate with Baileys. Turns out it’s super easy! All you need is a few minutes and a few ingredients. Salt– Salt balances out the sweetness. It also enhances the flavor. It won’t make your hot chocolate salty.
