About this deal

They're determined to blow their friends away at their school Battle of the Bands contest. But the moment they start to play... De afwisseling tussen tekst, tekeningen, strips, vergroot lettertype, en woorden die nog groter en vetgedrukt worden, zorgen ervoor dat je als surfend doorheen deze hardcover gaat. Now the kids face an even bigger challenge: Battle of the Bands, but the intergalactic version. They're competing against alien bands from every galaxy! And if they don't win, they might never make it home again... can the worst band on Earth become the best band in the universe? Didier Marouani: “Given the words of people who constantly told me that the melody resembles the sounds coming from space, I chose “Space” as the name". [4]

I loved the references to Tom Fletcher's band McFly, his sons and other musicians. That was quite hilarious. What I loved the most is that McFly recorded all the songs in this book and you can listen to them while reading the book! This is just an incredible awesome idea. News - Liverpool Local News - Tributes paid after sudden death of ex-Space drummer Andy Parle". Liverpool Echo.co.uk. 3 August 2009 . Retrieved 3 August 2009.We were a bit of a fluke. I'd been in bands before that hadn’t done anything and then we hit on this formula which came after thinking 'well I don’t want to just be one sound'. I like loads of different types of music and I really love movies, so I wanted to throw all that into the mix and that’s how we got our 'thing'. They said he had been inside the Park Road Fish Bar in Dingle. Some locals ran to his aid and tried to revive him. A taxi full of passengers also stopped to help and paramedics were called, however he died later at the Royal Liverpool Hospital. D. Marouani: “... Everything was going well, but at that time, when I met with my producer, I told him about my desire to perform on stage. At that time, we did not have a single “live” performance, only television. I managed to get permission for a concert under the Eiffel Tower, with the support of (radio station) “Europe 1”, and the press too, but in the end, my producer decided to cancel everything. And then I said: “I'm leaving,” because - a group that does not give concerts will die sooner or later". [4] Scott claimed it was never the band's intent to write "odd music" and that "we just didn't want to be like every other band. We went into a practice room with a song; we then recorded it and released it. We didn't know what would happen after that. There was no plan; it was just natural. If Space had been contrived, it would have been rubbish." He also stated that, due to the tongue-in-cheek, campy nature of their lyrics, he would get defensive whenever critics would dismiss them as "quirky" or as a novelty act: Can the worst band in the world become the best band in the universe? Fletcher said: “I am over the moon to be bringing two of my biggest passions together in this joint Space Band release! I had a blast bringing the story to life, recording songs from the book with life-long friends and bandmates McFly. Space Band is a really personal book for me, inspired by my own experiences of being in a band, so this album has brought it even closer to my heart. It’s been amazing to share it with Danny, Harry and Dougie and we can’t wait to take readers interstellar when we lift off this October.” Hilarische situaties volgen elkaar op.
