About this deal

I do try not to get obsessed with Dior Dior. I was very eager to try it, acquired my infinitesimally tiny bottle, and found that I like it very much (quelle surprise!). I tell myself that I have some excellent alternatives, in large quantity, all very beautiful. Of course, if a larger bottle of Dior Dior appeared for me, I would snatch it up with both hands immediately! In it's heart Diorella is a beautiful bouquet. There's jasmine and rose, cyclamen; though it's mostly roses and jasmines. This is a rather heady floral heart with as sweetness that was heightened by the fruit. In the warm air the perfume smelled so good. My husband at the time was always complimenting me on this perfume. It was rare for me to smell of fruit. Diorella was youth-oriented. I don't know if the name Diorella was meant to sound like Cinderella and the florals are feminine and lovely like roses and jasmine bushes. Green notes are also present smelling like a garden with bushes and shrubs. Patchouli leaves, herbs, moss and vetiver provide this scent with that green theme so prevalent in the 70's. A lovely green garden, a summer retreat with fruit trees and flowers. As it develops, the powdery floral heart emerges. Rose and sweet jasmine are initially detectable, given a nice spicy edge by the carnation. The herbal notes remain, alongside the melon note, muted at this stage, but keeping the fruity component alive. Soft woody notes ground it, and pave the way to the chypre base.

The house of Dior has rightfully held one of the first places in the world of perfumes for years. Dior’s collection Les Creations de Monsieur Dior introduced in 2009 represents a review of vintage editions. The collection includes 5 perfumes – 5 classic fragrances favorized by many women worldwide. The opening to Diorella is a combination of citrus and green notes. It smells like Emeraude as it begins with sparkling fresh citrus courtesy of bergamot orange and lemon lime. It's lemony and invigorating, fresh, cool, and delicious. A melon note is there too right from the start. Smells like sweet fruit. A peach begins to emerge as the scent begins to enter into it's second stage and the middle notes. Diorella is concise and powerful, and this style points to a modern one, away from the so-called classical form. Young cristalle are cold, young Diorellas are gentle, and their relationships are close, but often opposing from different angles. Easily unisex and very highly recommended. The house of Dior has been very good at keeping their old classics in production, and their modern versions smell excellent, despite recent proscriptions issued by the European body IFRA, which has declared a number of important traditional scenting essential oils to be dangerously irritating. When I first bought and used Diorella I was 16, my nose was simple and not sophisticated or cultivated as it might be today. This is my favourite from Les Creations de Monsieur Dior series. The only Dior I've tried in vintage is Miss Dior so I don't have the original to compare Diorella to. That's how it originally came about, this fragrance from the house of Christian Dior: boxes and flacons with the "belly bands" in the differently colored pattern, were immediately recognizable. If Art Nouveau could be represented by a single scent,it would be Diorella, imo.i love chypre's.Diorella is no exception. Diorella is like a quirky pampered girl among the class of citrus chypre cologne (70's), standing aside alone, watching two popular classmates O de Lancome and Eau de Rochas dancing and laughing aloud in the party.a sophisticated white scarf on a spring day of a classy lady type of smell. Diorella's bouquet is skilfully blended by Roudnitska with texture, balance and form all taken into consideration to capture a realistic still life.Roudnitska is unique,he can do "magic" masterfully mixing citrus notes with fruity notes. preceded by female masterpiece as this one, Diorama or would parfum de Therese.Diorella is well known perfume among royal ladies.very natural and wonderfully earthy. Because also "Diorella" belonged in the 1972 version still in the impressive family of floral chypre fragrances, which followed in their classic structure almost a textbook.

Maybe I could wear it for my husband, or have him wearing it, to see if it has any effect as a love potion LOL It becomes deliciously mossy as it dries down - that vintage oakmoss is hard to beat. Patchouli adds earthiness, rounding out the chypre accord. The powdery florals remain until final fade, where it becomes a musky skin scent. Sillage and longevity are moderate. Where Eau Sauvage is crisp, starched and shimmering, Diorella is tantalizing and sultry. There is also a cologne-like aspect to Diorella (esp. as in Eau d’Hermès), but if a cologne is refreshing and tonic, Diorella is like a lot of cologne after a few drinks. Diorella smells like Pour Monsieur sprayed on a sweaty body. Ms. Diorella makes the uptight Miss Chanel 19 see red every time they meet. (And, don’t ask me why, but this is the one that captures it for me.) Chanel Cristalle has an infrequently-used, symmetrical smile like a strand of pearls with canines. Diorella shows that Lauren Hutton, gap-toothed smile with every frequent laugh. I was warned that the fragrance I love was watered-down, and nothing like the Diorella from before, but at the time I refused to listen. The other day, hidden in a boutique, I had the opportunity to test the original, and much to my delight, it's even better than I expected.Edit: It also has quite a cyber animalic quality to it rendered by the accord which I believe might have come from cumin. Diorella is a citrusy, fruity woody composition with a very substantial floral element and a chypre tonality. It has the individualist approach of Roudnitska around the same theme and is said to be his best work. On top of all this, a dirty note; a delicate one, not animalic, but almost has a cyber character - like the one in Kenzo Elephant, but more subtle and erotic. Earlier someone mentioned cumin - Mr. E. Roudnitska signature note - so that just might be the reason why I perceive Diorella as clean and pure, but never sterile, sexy and playful and still very idealized. I clearly assign the color green to Diorella, but it is a much brighter green than Dioressence. Diorella is more delicate, more delicate and much less opulent than Dioressence. I think Diorella needs a little bit higher temperatures to show to advantage. On a cold winter day like today, the fragrance might get a bit lost. Diorella is absolutely not obtrusive, so it is very suitable for the office and for leisure time as well. The durability is very good for a rather light scent, 6-7 hours are in it, after 2 hours it becomes very close but still well perceptible.
