One of those is this very thing we are talking about, the presence. What my subjects say is that this is as close to God as we get, and they view the presence as a collective. I find this very interesting. I ask them, “What is this to you? What are you talking about when you talk about this Higher Presence?” When they are at their council meetings, they see this powerful energy source, which seems to clarify everything that is going on with them. usage, without written permission from Llewellyn Publications except in the case of brief quotations Books like this come along once in a lifetime. Michael Newton’s groundbreaking first book on the Afterlife is one of the great spiritual books of our time. Decades of detailed research made this book possible and it finally emerged when it was most needed, as humanity was starting to open more to the metaphysical roots of our existence. What makes it even more special is that Michael didn’t believe what he was finding at first, though through the eyes of thousands of client cases he was able to build a working model of the afterlife, an understanding of our connection to it and the possibilities of having the wisdom it offers within a life rather that wait for the end of it. This book has changed the lives of hundreds, upon hundreds of thousands of people… Childhood would seem waste of time rather then starting at a mature age or where one left off from their last incarnation. Children being more prone to engage in abuse (...and further bad karma) cause unnecessary suffering, especially toward the defenseless such as animals?

I have a dreaming question for you. In Destiny of Souls, you talk about how some souls who have left their bodies are able to meld and actually place themselves into the dreams of loved ones who may be grieving their loss. I’m curious if you think people who are adept at lucid dreaming now might be ones who are able to do advanced dreamwork in their life between lives? A great follow up to Journey Of Souls, with expanded information on the basics that were presented in the first book. Fascinating reading! " — Mitzi, 6/5/2012 Fascinating look into what happens to the soul after death and in between lives. Michael Newton's use of hypnosis on many different subjects sheds a light on the souls journey. Destiny of Souls" is the follow-up to Newton's "Journey of Souls," expanding upon the basic "map" of the Spirit World and the movement of souls through that world as they review their past life and prepare for their next incarnation.Newton: One thing I ask a client is, “If I were a stranger walking into your soul group, what would be the most defining common denominator that I would learn from your people?” I’m told, “Oh, we’re very tenacious fighters, or very analytical, quiet, and reflective.” Many souls can visit an intermediate area of independent studies where they can now branch into their specialties — to work in different areas of creation or concentrating on healing or whatever. Orientation periods with our guides, which take place before joining our cluster group, vary between souls and between different lives for the same soul. This is a quiet time for counseling, with the opportunity to vent any frustrations we have about the life just ended. Orientation is intended to be an initial debriefing session with gentle probing by perceptive, caring teacher-guides. I have not read Newton's preceding book "Journey of Souls" so I can't compare it with the one under review. Her journey in complimentary healing and alternate methodologies began in the mid 1990s. She includes in her sessions her learnings from Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Emotional Empowerment Technique, Theta Healing, Reiki, Crystal healing, Shamanic healing methods, Cell Regeneration, Gastric Mind Banding, Organisational Constellation, Yoga & Pranayam, Zibu symbols, Hooponopono and other allied methods and techniques.

At the moment of death, our soul rises out of its host body. If the soul is older and has experience from many former lives, it knows immediately it has been set free and is going home. These advanced souls need no one to greet them. However, most souls I work with are met by guides just outside Earth's astral plane. A young soul, or a child who has died, may be a little disoriented until someone comes closer to ground level for them. There are souls who choose to remain at the scene of their death for a while. Most wish to leave at once. Time has no meaning in the spirit world. Discarnates who choose to comfort someone who is grieving, or have other reasons to stay near the place of their death for a while, experience no sense of time loss. This becomes "now" time for the soul as opposed to linear time. Energy is assigned to certain mortal forms” (humans stay humans, and animals stay animals). This contradicts Source’s desire to experience and learn from every kind of being. If souls incarnate as different genders, and races, why not incarnate into different species to experience their perspectives of life? Newton calls a human a “higher form” and an animal a “lower form” which, in a deeper spiritual sense is false. Why? Although humans may be more complex, they do not have the instincts nor connections to nature and spirit that animals do. All souls are one, “inferior” and “superior” are manmade concepts we use to try and understand the world through our limited perspectives. (I’d argue that animal souls may be more advanced than ours, since we still have a lot of work to do in caring for our planet!) To truly master unconditional love, we must be many humans but also many beings to fully appreciate existence itself. Although I had studied a lot of philosophy and thought about various religions of the world, I didn’t have a core belief system. I was caught up with organized religions, which had rather rigid doctrines about certain things, so I studied Buddhism and other Eastern religions, looking for a spiritual view that I could accept. I found that both our conduct in life and the way in which we need to behave toward others are very important messages. I was missing that connection with God. Why are we here? To be quite honest with you, I didn’t believe in an afterlife. I felt that when life was over, it was over.A chapter describes the Council of Elders, to which we are summoned for evaluation in two occasions. We are asked how we feel about major episodes in our live and our courses of action. Some of the Elders bear medallions with images designed to remind us of significant episodes from our lives. Sunjects mention the "overwhelming" feeling of a higher force called "the Presence" which they feel to be perhaps not God but deified entities with capabilities superior to those in the council. This higher force influences council meetings.

Another excellent account of the process by which our souls grow and learn through many lives. " — Jennifer, 10/26/2013 Newton covers various subjects, such as techniques used by the souls to comfort their bereaved partners and family members, including entering into their dreams; ghosts (who are mostly obsessively attached to places, people and events where they can't let go); discarnates who visit Earth; regenerating damaged souls, and so on and so forth. You could go around the universe and look at young, middle-aged and old worlds and say, “Well, I wonder if the souls have now moved?” What I understand from my clients is that this is absolutely true. I’ve had clients who have been on worlds that have gone into nova. They say they were young souls when they went there, and by the time it became uninhabitable, they had to move. Then the question was, where would they move to?The larger question is why are people like myself able to do what we do? And could somebody have written the book I have just written a century ago? Those are interesting questions. Yes, I am using hypnosis and I have developed techniques, and if the techniques were known a hundred years ago, would some facilitator have been able to do the same thing? For teaching progressive/evolvement purposes unless prior reconciled, abuses inflicted are likewise experienced.

Although there are divinities galore in Buddhism, the gods are not essential for liberation. So, it is possible to be a Buddhist atheist. Liberation from endless rebirth comes from our realisation that all is suffering and nothing is permanent, including the self.In the modern West, reincarnation has a positive flavour as a desirable alternative to the traditional Western afterlife. But the Indian traditions all agree it is the ultimate horror — their aim is to escape from it. A pioneer in uncovering the secrets of life, internationally recognized spiritual hypnotherapist Dr. Michael Newton takes you once again into the heart of the spirit world. His groundbreaking research was first published in the bestselling Journey of Souls, the definitive study on the afterlife. Now, in Destiny of Souls, the saga continues with 70 case histories of real people who were regressed into their lives between lives. Dr. Newton answers the requests of the thousands of readers of the first book who wanted more details about various aspects of life on the other side. Destiny of Souls is also designed for the enjoyment of first-time readers who haven't read Journey of Souls. The principle of unity is an important one, and it’s no accident that we’re in this very diverse cultural milieu here on Earth where we are confronting the issues. The book goes into more detail about the spiritual plane than any other book I have read on the subject, including those by Dolores Cannon.
