Front camera Modern smartphones have one or more front cameras and their positioning has led to various design concepts – pop-up camera, rotating camera, notch, punch hole, under-display camera, etc. Aperture Upper entry-level Motorola phones like this are, for the most part, extremely practical. The company has just taken it to the next level here. How often does a phone look better with a case attached? The Motorola Moto G60S was originally released in August 2021. At the time of launch it was Motorola’s top-end 4G Android.

The Moto G60 display matches the leaked specs we learned of last month: it has a 6.8-inch LCD panel with a 120Hz refresh rate, HDR10 certification, and a Full HD+ display with 1080 x 2460 resolution and 396 ppi.Motorola has been aggressive with the Moto G60, and the Rs. 17,999 price matches that of the Realme 8 Pro. While there have been compromises to get to this price point, Motorola hasn't cut corners significantly in terms of performance or the software experience. The Moto G60 is more powerful than the Realme 8 Pro and offers a better user experience.
Selfies taken with the 32-megapixel front camera were also binned and saved as 8-megapixel files. Daylight selfies were sharp and accurate, and selfie portraits also had good edge detection. Low-light selfies were average but I found the colour tone to be slightly off here as well. The usage of GSM networks persists in various regions across the globe. ARK: Survival Evolved does not run particularly well at its maximum setting, with a consistently sub-optimal frame rate. All games run well, but not necessarily at their top graphical settings.

It’s a lot of space. Storage speed is good too, with read speeds of 375MB/s, and writes of 211MB/s. Battery life The software beneath Moto’s thin custom later is Android 11, and the MediaTek G95 is the processor powering it.
Nevertheless, the Motorola Moto G60S can still take perfectly good photos in most conditions. It’s helped by Auto HDR processing, and while the OV64B40 isn’t a top-end sensor, it holds up pretty well considering its compromises. It might be the only phone I’ve used that looks better in its case than out of it – and I think this is deliberate. Photos of people shot in dim rooms look undersaturated, soft and murky. However, you don’t get 5G mobile internet or the stereo speakers that have been fairly common in recent Moto phones, and camera quality is just okay. The Moto G60 is priced at Rs. 17,999 in India and is available in a single configuration with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. Motorola offers the Moto G60 in two colours: Dynamic Gray and Frosted Champagne. Moto G60 design Night scenes show how far the camera lags behind something like the Google Pixel 4a, though. You can’t take good low-light images with the Moto G60S, unless you use the manual mode and a long exposure (which requires a tripod or something to keep the phone ultra-still).
