About this deal

Home Entertainment has done an excellent job here and essentially does this film justice on home video in 4K. You flock to see it in cinemas, the end credits scroll and the house lights come up… and all you can think is “damn, I need to see that again now.

For my part, I loved The Batman, gleefully going to see it at IMAX three times in as many weeks ahead of its arrival on HBO Max where I've honestly lost track how many times I've watched it. It's a fantastic story arc, one with heft and depth that makes a complete transformation in the best way possible. Matt Reeves brings the character back to his roots showcasing the vengeance-fueled vigilante as more of a film noir detective early in his career than an origin story or as an established superhero as he takes on The Riddler. Two years of stalking the streets as the Batman, striking fear into the hearts of criminals, has led Bruce Wayne deep into the shadows of Gotham City. He doesn’t stop to splay out some nonsensical rambling metaphor, he's the one who trained Bruce and gets to work helping him with the case in spite of any misgivings because at this point it's the only way he can help keep him alive.Alfred has done everything he can to help Bruce cope with the loss and seems to be encouraging in his efforts to be a masked vigilante but he wants to protect him from things and not just criminals. Those picking up The Batman DVD won't be treated to as many extras, however, as this version only comes with the Unpacking The Icons extra. There are elements of some good detail in buildings and vehicles in the background, along with firey explosions in its discreet animation style, but other than that, it's a rather flat style of illustrations. There are deep creepy black voids that slowly ease into the available light allowing for some dramatic entrances for Batman. release right out of the gate, The Batman 4K will likely sneak into my list of this year's best home video packages.

Matt Reeves ( Cloverfield, Let Me In) has taken the Dark Knight and made him, and his enemies, even darker. His fights range from in the streets, alleyways, and even high in the sky as this Batman flips and flies around to take out the bad guys. The sound is used wisely and effectively with some robust LFE moments that really crank it up a notch. It was the choice of the film’s director Matt Reeves and the DP (director of photography) Greig Fraser to use anamorphic lenses. Batman himself has his own moral code that he likes to follow but must navigate that fine line of vengeance and justice while coping with rumors and truths about his family.

The Batman” on 4K UHD Blu-ray is a must-own release for any fan, in my honest opinion, and it comes as Very Highly Recommended. WarnerMedia CEO Jason Kilar previously hinted that The Batman would be available to stream on HBO Max in the US from 19th April – exactly 45 days following its initial release in cinemas, but this date is yet to be confirmed. Don’t get me wrong, I think the Nolan films are good - well the first two of the three - but Batman still was relatively an incidental figure compared to the life of Bruce Wayne when it should be the other way around.

And then of course there is Michael Giacchino's epic new score, which might be even better than previous iterations of the Batman theme. Luckily, Batman crosses paths with Selina Kyle/Catwoman (Zoe Kravtiz), who Batman takes under his wing and tries to mentor her in not crossing the line of total brutality. uncomfortably close poster-themed cover artwork, a matching slipcover, and a Digital Copy redemption code. While he stands for justice, there's something that's constantly eating away at him to cross that line and straight-up kill the villains. Among them is likely to be the deleted scene featuring a famous Batman villain that has already been released.

If you’ve got more than a passing interest, and three hours to kill, let’s see how they can once again reinvent the wheel. That all being said, it’s reasons like that [director involvement] that helped make this one perfect sound experience in Atmos. Batman ventures into Gotham City's underworld when a sadistic killer leaves behind a trail of cryptic clues. The Batman” was a 2022 film based on the DC Comics character of the same name, created by Bob Kane and Bill Finger. release right out of the gate, The Batman will likely sneak into my list of this year's best home video packages.

There are colors in the film, don’t get me wrong, but they’re mainly relegated to the backgrounds like neon signs and whatnot.
