About this deal

My album has on side 1- Phil+Ronnie, JS-17,500-15, with 3 small dots under the 15 and a large one next to it, a 2 on it’s back, the bell sound stamp, sf stamp, and an *. It was released in the UK on 8 May 1970, almost a month after the group's break-up, in tandem with the motion picture of the same name. Genuine Let It Be pressings with the red Apple were mastered at Bell Sound by a guy named Sam Feldman and that’s why you can see his initials “sf” scratched into the vinyl above.

The picture sleeve shows just light creasing to the laminate in places and a little minor wear leaving it a great Excellent example complete with the Apple-adresses inner. An asterisk ” * ” means it was pressed at the Los Angeles plant…a triangular symbol with a line coming out the pointed end means it was pressed in Winchester Virginia. The project then yielded a single public concert held impromptu on the studio’s rooftop on 30 January, from which three of the album’s tracks were drawn. Like most of the band’s previous releases, the album topped record charts in many countries, including both the US and the UK.This was never released, becoming known as one of the great ‘lost’ albums in rock history and is now included in this Super Deluxe Set. The ‘Let It Be’ album has been newly mixed by producer Giles Martin and engineer Sam Okell in stereo. This may not be The Beatles greatest recording moment, but it holds up very well despite all the bashing its gotten over the years.

FYI, here is a handy list of the markings from each of the Capitol pressing plants: It was Sam Feldman who also scribbled the words “Phil + Ronnie” on the dead wax. Started January 1969 as Get Back, the original idea was to record an album aux natural with as little of the production values that has graced their latter albums (Sgt Pepper, MMT, The White Album). I believe it is a legit pressing as everything I have found online to identify true pressings notes it as such, BUT it is missing the "Phil + Ronnie" etching. The Super Deluxe Vinyl Special Edition slipcase box set houses 4 LPs, a 12" EP, and a 105-page hardbound book in slipcase. From then, the project lay in limbo as they moved onto the recording of Abbey Road, released that September. This version sounds awesome, I’ve compared to multiple records, and I thought this one sounded best. I have had in the collection for some time now a record that I thought was an original US pressing of the Beatles Let It Be. In April 1969, the Beatles issued the single Get Back, after which engineer Glyn Johns prepared and submitted mixes of the album – then titled Get Back and subsequently rejected – that were widely bootlegged before release. Following on from the global success of ‘Abbey Road’, Apple Corps and USM are proud to present the next multi-format Beatles album reissue of ‘Let It Be’.

My own copies (I have two – another variant lists the Fab Four as arrangers of "Maggie Mae" on the label) are all Scranton. Language - Regardless of country of origin all tracks are sung in English, unless otherwise stated in our description. still wIaiting for I will play anything you want or I wont play at all oroginal remstered film is stereo on DVD love the granny bit out on The Row I can't stand what it's all about. The album was delayed further and in fact became their 12th and final official album release on 8th May 1970 following additional production by American producer Phil Spector. In January 1970, the remaining Beatles finished the album with the completion of Let It Be and I Me Mine. We are available to book for live shows and events, as well as bespoke licensed music for videos, commercials, TV, film and more. Fakes don’t have that Bell Sound stamp, but the people who made the illegal copies did try to imitate the originals by including the “sf” initials too.
