These time signatures are 4/4 = 4 quarter notes in each measure or 6/8 = 6 eighth notes in each measure. The faster notes in this example are 8th notes, but you will hear how many syllables I have to count if I keep it in the 4/4 time signature...it's tongue-tying for sure!
