About this deal

You could argue the G Pro X are more aesthetically pleasing with the blue/gold color scheme, however, I feel the design and colors of both headphones are equally professional and attractive. Comfort Logitech G Pro X The G Pro X headband presses hard down on my head and could use more padding. Although the G Pro X have a much more advanced interface with the Logitech G Hub, it can be overwhelming at times. The HS70 Pro Wireless have the iCUE software, which isn’t as advanced but still allows you to adjust the lows, mids, and highs. I find the HS70 Pro Wireless have an even keel of sound all around. When testing the headphones in CS:GO and PUBG on PC, I was really impressed. The bass was definitely present and didn’t drown out the rest of the frequency range.

While playing Eve online, the audio reproduced was excellent. As I warped from system to system fighting would-be thieves, the audio of my thrusters rumbled perfectly, and the explosions of enemy ships were absolute perfection going from hard lows to expanding highs without any distortion. The HS70 Pro Wireless connects through the included USB Bluetooth adapter to the Sony PS4/PS5 and PC, but will not work on the Xbox One. The connections are made instantly and you are notified by a voice telling you that headphones are on and have connected.

How long does the Corsair HS70 Pro Wireless’s battery last?

The G Pro X and HS70 are hands down two of the best gaming headphones I have ever tested and compared. Neither headset fails in a section and both offer a great product that’s reflective of their price. The USB external sound card allows access to the Logitech G Hub software on PC, which is truly outstanding. We saw it in the mic quality section, and I’ll go over it more in the sound quality section, but it’s a huge advantage because it significantly improves the headset’s capabilities. Corsair HS70 Pro Wireless Unfortunately, the detachable microphone is short and feels rather cheap. It allows movement in every direction but is only 5.5 inches in length. It isn’t long enough to be placed directly in front of my mouth and hangs to the left. When using the headset with your PC, as opposed to a PS4, there is extra functionality available by installing the Corsair Utility Engine (CUE). This is Corsair's software for customizing its peripherals, and for the HS70 options include turning on 7.1 surround, selecting and adjusting EQ profiles, tweaking mic volume and sidetone (which adds the sound from your mic into your headphones, assuming you don’t hate the sound of your voice), and it also shows the percentage of battery power remaining. The HS70 Pro Wireless also lose 7.1 surround sound on console, making the sound less immersive, but are superb in every other area. The HS70 still have great audio on PS4, however, it’s more difficult to determine the sound direction without 7.1 surround sound.

Through its wireless USB Bluetooth connector, the HS70 Pro Wireless is compatible with the PS4, PS5, and PC. It also comes with a micro USB charging cable to support its 16-hour battery life. The USB Bluetooth connecter that makes the HS70 wireless on PC and PlayStation consoles. The 7.1 surround sound was distinct and useful in telling where footsteps, reload sounds, or shots in the distance were coming from. Explosions didn’t drown out the mids and the highs, and even when situations got chaotic, I was aware of my surroundings. Tie: [Logitech G Pro X & CORSAIR HS70 Pro Wireless] Build Quality Verdict Side by side comparison of the aluminum yolks and ear cups. The headband is very durable and shows great resistance when stretched out but is still bendable. The aluminum yolks that connect the headband with the ear cups are also top quality and I’m not worried about breaking them. On top of this, the hinges on the headband are metal which are of a quality that I haven’t found on other pairs of headphones. The HS70 Pro Wireless uses the iCUE software to customize the sound. It has presets and even lets you create your own. It’s not nearly advanced as the Logitech G Hub, but it has a much more friendly interface for new users. Comparing sound quality on Console Logitech G Pro XThe build quality on the G Pro X is among the best I’ve seen. Nothing about their construction gives me the impression the headset is cheaply made. Very durable aluminum yolk connects the ear cups to the headband. All the sounds are distinct and I can still hear the footsteps of players nearby, if perhaps less precisely. The HS70 does an excellent job of separating the lows, mids, and highs, and making each sound distinct from the others. I like the wireless capabilities of the HS70 headset, and they work well when seated and gaming. However, they consistently drop when I move away from the transmitter. Furthermore, the HS170 are only compatible with PC, PS4, and PS5, which is ideal for my setup but may not be for yours. Sound Quality Comparing sound quality on PC Logitech G Pro X Because of its 2m PC/console cable and secondary mobile cable, the G Pro X is compatible with all devices. Also included is a Y splitter for separate microphone and audio ports on the PC. Close up look at the cables and USB external sound card that enables the Logitech G Hub. The G Pro X is compatible with all devices, while the HS70 is only compatible with PC, Mac, and PlayStation.

This may be partially due to the aluminum band that makes up the headband. It’s so sturdy that it prevents the headband from completely molding over your head, instead only the center point of the headband rests directly on top. Overall, the HS70 Pro Wireless are a better option than the Corsair Void RGB Elite Wireless. The HS70 Pro have better build, comfort, and sound quality. The only area the Void RGB Elite Wireless win is connectivity, which isn’t as important of a factor, as the HS70 Pro work fine if you don’t move too far away. Where to Buy Corsair’s mic also did an excellent job of capturing the different tones in my voice. While recording a test podcast, it reproduced the timbre and lower registers in my voice clearly and without distortion. When I purposely raised my voice to test for distortion, there wasn’t any. Like many gaming headset mics today, the HS70 Bluetooth’s mic has been certified by Discord. Overall, the build quality for the HS70 Pro Wireless exceeds my expectations. It feels like I received a quality product and everything seems sturdy and ready for years of use.The HS70 have all their features on the underside of the ear cups. The left ear cup features a volume dial, mute mic button, USB charging port, and removable microphone. The power on/off button is located on the right ear cup. The G Pro X does not have 7.1 surround sound for console gaming. This makes my experience playing Call of Duty Modern Warfare less immersive. However, the headset still does a good job of separating the lows, mids, and highs. The G Pro X lose immersion and sound direction on console. The design for the HS70 Pro Wireless are a clear-cut winner. They come across as more professional and sleek than the Void RGB Elite Wireless, which have a much more exotic design. The ear cups are lined with memory foam and are a bit on the large side. They fit over my ears comfortably with a moderately good seal, but I think if you have a smaller head they might feel unwieldy and a solid seal might be difficult. The HS70 weigh 330 grams without the mic, or 11.6 ounces, which is average for a wireless headset (and lighter than Corsair’s Void headsets). The microphone adds another 9 grams, or 0.3 ounces. The HS70 Pro Wireless are equipped with 50mm neodymium dynamic drivers and 7.1 surround sound. The sound can be adjusted with the iCUE software on PC, but I was content with the volume levels of the lows, mids, and highs and didn’t feel the need to adjust them.
