About this deal

If you’re looking for headphones that deliver natural-sounding audio, we highly recommend the TYGR 300 R. These headphones have everything you need: durable quality, comfort, and excellent audio performance. Plus, you can opt for the TEAM TYGR bundle if you want a microphone. The FOX is only available in a bundle with the TYGR 300 R headphones. It’s an impressive USB microphone that captures sound precisely and offers studio-quality sound. High Wearing Comfort + Made in Germany Plus I've read they need an amp and that they have low volume. I just want to play the ps5 and watch movies, don't really want to start and get too technic. The most important aspect of any headphone, the sound. I will not be going into extreme detail with this as I'm not an audiophile and don't know all of the jargon, and I'd rather just give my opinion without talking a load of shit I know nothing about. Aside from the design and construction, the company optimised the TYGR 300 R’s audio for ultimate wearing comfort. The integrated acoustic fleece prevents fatigue caused by sharp heights since it evens out high frequencies without losing any detail.

As someone who wears a headset most of the day, whether that be for playing video games, listening to music and podcasts, or watching videos and shows. I can routinely wear a headset for up to 12 hours a day. Therefore, comfort is probably my most important factor when considering what I want to buy. Add into the mix that I wear glasses and I need something that won’t press my glasses into my head and cause discomfort after long periods of wearing them. Several games like Overwatch feature surround sound options in their settings. That’s when we used it to enjoy gaming further while wearing the TYGR 300 R.With a comfortable design and optimised audio, you can always enjoy long gaming sessions. Need a Complementary Microphone? Go for TEAM TYGR The TYGR 300 R is a pair of headphones without a microphone. But if you need one, you can get the TEAM TYGR. This bundle combines the TYGR 300 R and the FOX USB microphone. Remember, these headphones don’t feature in-ear or in-line controls, so you won’t have to worry about additional settings. You won’t even bother with dials, multiple knobs, switches, or clunky software, and it’s even better with its plug-and-play design. pc38x: I've discarded the pc38x as I've read that while they do sound great, they excel at gaming but are worse than the other two to listen to music and movies.

Its bass was distinct and full of impact, while mids were clear and highs were accurate. We rated the frequency response at 5-35,000Hz. So, the TYGR 300 R didn’t have any distortions while we listened to music and played games. Its cushions keep the headphones’ wires out of the way, and it sports a comfy, circular velour pad. This element is ideal for gamers who wear eyeglasses.I’m no audiophile so a lot of the technical stuff goes over my head. However, here are some of the technical stats for the TYGR 300 R. Thirdly, there is no built-in microphone. Meaning if you want to use this for multiplayer gaming you will need a separate microphone. When gaming, various sounds came across loud and clear without any distortions. We didn’t lose any sounds of footsteps or speaking voices amidst loud explosions and gunfire. It is noticeable, and less fatiguing to listen to the TYGR 300rs in general than the DT 990 pros. With that being said I'm not very sensitive to the 990's trebel, and could quite happily listen to them for hours on end. Perhaps the most subjective aspect of any headphone, the comfort both of these headphones bring is quite honestly brilliant. I was already used to the DT 990 pros before I started doing this comparison, but after an extended amount of time using the TYGR 300rs and swapping between the two I think I can draw some conclusions.

Nominal SPL of the TYGR 300 R is 96dB @1mW @ 500Hz while T.H.D. is < 0.2% @ 1mW @500Hz. The headphones’ power capacity is 100mW and it’s notable with a circumaural sound-coupling to the ears. The only minor issue that I’ve noticed is that the cable that travels through the headband is pretty lightweight and if you’re a little rough with it, you might damage it. Likewise, the Tygr 300 R offers a solid audio solution for monitoring, but at it’s heart is a pure, unadulterated fidelity. During my testing sessions, this transparent audio became almost a hindrance. On more than one occasion, I zoned out and drifted in a near-comatose reverie as I listened to music. So as good as this headphone is for monitoring audio, it remains just as potent when listening for enjoyment. Final Analysis During our tests, it offered accurate audio across the sound spectrum. It slightly optimised bass but not like how other gaming headsets do. While testing the product, we enjoyed various media with the TYR 300 R. Its realistic audio made movies and games more immersive and exciting. When it came to music, we heard more detail and nuances we never noticed while using other headphones. The other side of this dynamic duo, the Fox USB mic, brings its own offerings to the table. Recording quality matches the accuracy of the Tygr 300 R, with my voice registering clear and distinct. While not all that surprising given Beyerdynamic’s reputation for producing quality microphones, it’s the functionality of the Fox that really makes it so impressive. Soundstage - The soundstage strangely seems more open with the TYGR 300r's but I'll have to be honest they are both almost identica to me in this regard. I know it's all up to me but I've never tried any of these, only the cheap one I said above, and I really don't have any idea about this. Plus I don't want to go over 300 €. When trying the headphones for our Beyerdynamic TYGR 300 R Headphones review, we realised how plus its earpads were. These felt good and cool on the ears.

With that being said, the 990 pros are a supremely comfortable headphone, but for extended periods unless they have been 'broken in' as my old pair were, you will definitely start to feel it. Neither cable is detachable, which is a shame, but to be expected from the 'cheaper' Beyer headphones to be quite honest. That being said I prefer the high quality straight cable on the TYGR 300r to the heavy coiled cable on the DT 990 pros, even if the added length can come in handy when moving across the room. There's little chance of either cable being an issue regardless, however. It's entirely personal preference.I recently tried this headphone at a friends place. He also owns the DT990 which the Tyger is based upon. At the top of this review, I mentioned that the headset might not be for you and I will explain why. Firstly, it’s quite pricey.
