About this deal

But: You will be remembered! That's already more than you achieve with many other fragrances today. For me, Kouros has been a special experience and he has given me again a completely different look at fragrances or put me also times completely different fragrances in front of the nose. Through Kouros I came across Antaeus Eau de Toilette and Lapidus pour Homme Eau de Toilette. The second is now also in my collection and is also incredibly good. The fragrance definitely seems a bit out of time, but I do not find that bad - it revives charm.

An intense Oriental fougere fragrance combining patchouli and cedar with warm spices and slight citrus nuances, sandal, musk and vanilla. Sure that if you try Kouros and you are a modern "male", accustomed to those sweet and cloying metrosexual scents that smells like pastry and make you look like a cream puff filled with vanilla cream and covered with cinnamon .... and well, I don't I will certainly wait for words of appreciation.Ted Lapidus Pour Homme – an aromatic Fougere fragrance released in 1987. The main notes include Honey, Tobacco, and Incense. The lasting power is 24+ hours with great projection. Kouros comes in a white columnar-shaped bottle looking just like something from ancient Greece and statue-like reminiscent of the bodybuilding guys from Kouros commercials. Maison Margiela Mane 'n Tail Marc Jacobs Margaret Dabbs London Marvel Matthew Williamson Mavala Max Factor ME. Michael Bublé Michael Kors Minions Minnies Missguided Miu Miu Mizon Moncler Montblanc Moschino Mr Stanley's Mugler Trends have changed, and people have switched to fresh and sweet offerings, but there is a big but here. If Chanel has managed to save Antaeus which also uses Civet as the main note, I have to wonder why L’Oreal skipped this opportunity to keep the old Kouros magnificent.

My father showed me Kouros about a year ago for the first time. To date, I knew only the current YSL classics like Y or La Nuit de L'Homme, which I like both.A range of professional grade extra strong fragrances perfect for all home fragrancing and bath and body products including candles, soaps, wax melts, bath bombs, reed diffusers and more. I have also heard that Kouros is a scent only for the European clientele, due to its dirty scent profile. Don’t believe that. If you like it, wear it. Performance Base notes:Oakmoss, Amber, Incense, Honey, Leather, Civet, Musk, Tonka Bean, Vanilla Perfume Presentation

I get a good 9h out, sillage initially for it really strong. Could also be that I get smell-blind, but well dosed you can put the fragrance on well.Tabac Ted Baker The Gruff Stuff The Jojoba Company The Library Of Fragrance The Merchant Of Venice The Perfume Edit The Perfume Shop The Real Shaving Company The Skin Lounge The Soap Co The Solution This Works Tiffany & Co TIGI TOM FORD Tommy Hilfiger Travalo Tumi Chanel’s Antaeus is the only perfume in a similar vein to Kouros that I believe is better in the current formulation. Saint Laurent died from brain cancer in 2008 and will be always known as the man who approached fashion differently and wanted women to feel comfortable and elegant at the same time. Kouros smells dirty, clean, and soapy at the same time. A product of its time, with notes such as civet, honey, and leather dominating the scent. It was created by Pierre Bourdon in 1981.

The base notes in the YSL Kouros fragrance are clary sage, coriander and bergamot. The heart notes encompass carnation, classic patchouli, cinnamon, jasmin and vetiver. The base notes include a rich, sweet combination of honey, tonka bean, amber oakmoss, vanilla and leather. It is quite a delicious and masculine combination. There is also a Kouros Silver Eau de Toilette edition available, which is a slightly woodier version containing woody and apple notes. More from YSL The perfume was inspired by a trip to Greece Saint Laurent had taken. [1] He was particularly impressed by the kouroi: a b Chandler Burr (21 October 2007). "What the Cat Dragged In". The New York Times . Retrieved 16 October 2013. I have heard and read so many divided opinions about this one such as “ it smells like urinal cake” or “ it smells like body odor” that I understand if someone would be repulsed by Kouros without even sampling it.This gives it an interplay between human and animalic powdery musks that should have been stronger, and present, without being somewhat one-dimensional. One could think Pierre Bourdon had made a trip to the Frankfurt central station at that time and inspired himself at the odor conditions prevailing there. I got that they are required by laws to change the composition since some ingredients are forbidden. However the forbidden ingredients have replacements that smell exactly the same. So I don't get why they didn't replaced the banned ingredients with equivalents and instead diluted Kouros so much that no one who liked the original is happy with it. If they wanted something less offensive and more modern they could have kept Kouros close to the original and make a new snowflake version Kouros Light or whatever. Believe it or not, Kouros still holds up its high-price event after so many years which just confirms that some things are timeless and meant to stay. Value for money is average(current formulation).
