About this deal

This sub's main purpose is to provide a space for transgender people to freely express themselves. Cisgender people should be here to learn, not so speak over trans people, and should select the "cisgender" flair for themselves or the "questioning" flair if it is more appropriate. Rude cis people will be banned. Accounts that have a history of posting adult content are not permitted to participate in the sub. While we understand that many transgender people use adult content as their primary source of income, this sub is browsed by users under the legal age for consumption of such materials, and those users should not be exposed to it through our members. Users whose accounts meet this criteria are encouraged to create an alternate, SFW, account, for use on r/trans. B (Bisexual): Bisexual indicates an attraction to all genders. The recognition of bisexual individuals is important, since there have been periods when people who identify as bi have been misunderstood as being gay. Bisexuality has included transgender, binary and nonbinary individuals since the release of the "Bisexual Manifesto" in 1990.

Part of this is the fact of the "new" thing called neopronouns. They/him/her. Pronouns are not neo and anything outside this norm i feel make fun of our community as a whole and invalidates us.

Protecting LGBTI people from violence and discrimination does not require a new set of human rights laws or standards. States are legally required to safeguard the human rights of LGBTI people. This is well established in international human rights law. It is based on the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and other international human rights treaties.

I don’t care if this gets downvoted but I saw the recent post from a straight person saying we’re loved etc and the comments were appalling. Putting in place training programmes for police, prison staff, teachers, social workers and caregivers to better serve the LGBTI community A transexual is more of someone who feels the need to medically transition regardless if they have started the process or not(hormones and surgery). They are transexual. Thus they are changing there primary and/or secondary sex characteristics among other things to match something other then what they were born with. Don't even mention pedophilia, MAP, or any related subjects. There is no connection to the LGBT+ community, so it does not belong here. Posts will be removed and a ban may occur after warning. Related comments will be removed.

Use a specific term if you are talking about issues that may be specific to a particular orientation or identity. No hate speech allowed whatsoever. This is a ZERO tolerance policy. This rule includes any terminology that is used as a slur or pejorative against anyone; even if you’ve personally reclaimed the word, does not mean everyone has, and we ask that you respect that when speaking with other users. This is a place for free expression and conversation and downvoting can stymie that discussion. If someone posts or comments something you don't like, post a comment explaining why, or scroll past it. If they break a rule, report it instead of just downvoting.

Other acronym variations that are sometimes used include LGBTIQ (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, intersex, and queer) and LGBTQQIP2SAA (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, questioning, intersex, pansexual, two-spirit (2S), androgynous, and asexual). History of the LGBTQIA+ Acronym I know the majority of us are always in ‘fight’ mode due to society invalidating our existence and basically trying to erase us but some of the comments were dismissive to downright abusive.

Ok as we know just the prefix of trans is the head of the umbrella with many branches. I feel like we need to let it be more widely known that being transgender is a separate thing from being someone who goes under medical intervention to be another gender that is somewhat established(male/female/nonbinary)
