About this deal

Finally, the Gauss Pylon, mightiest toilet plunger in the galaxy. Ughhhhh. It only went up 25pts so it’s probably still fine in skew builds I guess. It can also teleport straight onto an objective and actually hold it. If that’s your jam, go wild. Army Lists

With the heavy shooting battery (the destroyers) and the tomb blades (their fire power is like a immortals unit), I could cut in this units: When a unit disembarks from a TRANSPORT model, set it up on the battlefield so that it is wholly within 3" of that TRANSPORT model and not within Engagement Range of any enemy models. If, for any reason, a disembarking model cannot be set up, that model’s unit cannot disembark. In the ancient Necron dynasties, the Praetorians were responsible for maintaining the Triarch's rule and to ensure that wars and politics alike were pursued in accordance with the ancient codes of behaviour of the Necrontyr. As such, they acted outside the traditional political structures, and held both the right and the means to enforce their will should a Necron Lord, Necron Overlord or even a phaeron's behaviour contravene the edicts of old.

The Triarch Stalker has always been a support model since its release. It was designed to help out their fellow Necron infantry by increasing their ballistic skill and bring to bear devastating weaponry that can do more than just glance armor to death. Its purpose is to look over the Necron army and make sure they have correct target priorities given to them from their Praetorian counterparts who are scouting ahead. The Triarch was served by elite Necron units known as Triarch Praetorians. The Triarch Praetorians are a specialised caste of Necrons who serve as the judges and enforcers of ancient Necrontyr law. As I have stated earlier this unit is more of a helpful option in the Necron book. It takes up an Elite slot which is something that isn’t too heavily used in most Necron armies. It really brings your army benefits if you are utilizing large masses of warriors/shooting units that can benefit from aiming better. This isn’t a unit you build an entire army around as while it has a decent gun, it just isn’t going to kill enough. It does give the Necron army access to a Melta effect which is always helpful when you need to pop rhinos and have your Warriors kill the troops inside with massed gauss. I think if it had Smash or some other combat potential it would be a great help as a second/third assault wave for a Necron army.

Nominally a hereditary position, the uncertain life spans of the ancient Necrontyr ensured that the title of Silent King nonetheless passed from one royal dynasty to another many times over the course of the Necrontyr's history. Despite cosmetic alterations, the shape of the Ankh remains unchanged, each exacting curve and line perfectly reproduced. Each dynasty also has its own glyphs, If that unit contains one or more models with fewer than their starting number of wounds remaining, select one of those models; that model regains one lost wound. The named characters are also somewhat of a mixed bag. At the positive end, Imotekh only went up 10pts and Anrakyr actually came down 10 (making him honestly probably worth a look). Less positively, Oberyn and Zandrekh still cost way too much, and new Szeras got a probably unnecessary above-rate increase (though I’ll still be trying him, love my massive spider son). Use a slightly lighter green, like Warpstone Glow, to layer the green details you painted in the previous step. Apply this color to the edges and raised areas of the green details. This technique enhances the glow and adds depth to the energy sources and glyphs. That shame of failure hung heavy on the survivors and drove them to forsake the blissful forgetfulness of hibernation. As the final sparks of the War in Heaven burnt out, the last Triarch Praetorians withdrew to the Necrontyr's ancient seats of power on the Northern Galactic Rim, preserving what they managed to safeguard of their ancient codes, laws and strictures from the vengeance of the Aeldari. Apply a thin wash of Coelia Greenshade to the green details. This shading technique adds depth and realism, making the energy sources and glyphs appear more intricate and dimensional. Hexmark Destroyer • Lokhust Destroyer • Lokhust Heavy Destroyer • Ophydian Destroyer • Skorpekh Destroyer

Triarch Stalkers are often piloted by a high-ranking Triarch Praetorian and are primarily employed against enemy heavy armour and to provide close fire support to other Necron units. While OVERLORD WINGS has made occasional forays out into the tournament world, Necrons have suffered from being one of the consistently weakest factions in 8th Edition. They had a couple of builds that were just about viable, and these were occasionally buoyed up by being good counters to dominant metagame forces, but by and large fielding a bunch of spooky skeletons wasn’t a great plan, and if you wanted to make Necrons work you needed to undergo the horrifying torment of painting multiple Arks. The Triarch was the ruling triumvirate of the ancient Necrontyr Empire before the outbreak of the War in Heaven over 60 million standard years ago. For an army with only two troops choices, there’s a surprising amount to say here. Let’s get Immortals out of the way first. These had a relatively rough time of it, going up three points each, which while it isn’t wildly out of line for units in the price range, hurts Necrons quite a bit as it means their cheapest possible troop option is a 90pt Immortal squad. Still expect to see them, as I think you’ll usually want to either run a Battalion or two Patrols, but maybe a bit less often. Next up, sadly, is much more of a miss – the Canoptek Reanimator. I honestly look at this unit and I’ve got nothing – it’s awful for the price, presenting no real threat, applying a buff to what is still, ultimately, a very weak ability in a highly telegraphed way, and being incredibly squishy for the price to boot. Seriously, you can have a Triarch Stalker with a heat ray for only 15 more pts, and you should go ahead and do that. Can only set up within Engagement Range of enemy units that are already within Engagement Range of the Reanimated model's unit.

This army aims to provide a generalist build. It’s got units that can comfortably push the centre, with the option of the Deceiver shifting up one or both of the Ghost Arks early on, or stashing the Skorpekh Destroyers in some terrain somewhere. It has ranged threats in the form of the Heavy Destroyers, who can probably atomise a key target early, and optionally come in as reinforcements if the enemy has units especially good at murdering them like Crimson Hunter Exarchs. The Tomb Blades provide board control and premium anti-horde. Finally, the opponent has to deal with the ever present threat that the Skorpekh Lord and his Destroyer buddies can teleport across the board and throw out some coin flip re-rollable charges. Arks for DaysThe Silent King Szarekh aboard the Dias of Dominion alongside his fellow Triarch members Hapthatra the Radiant and Mesophet the Shadowed Hand. Notice the imprisoned C'tan known as the Enchained captured at the top of the Dias. Much of our shooting power comes from these phalanxs of Troops and it isn't unusual to see Doomstalkers behind them in support benefiting from a Technomancer. Putting hits from a Triarch Stalker on a target we plan to get loads of shots on seems like an obvious use.
