About this deal

The HEXA are sub-bass focused and are a tinge north of neutral. The sub-bass extends moderately, with just a slight rumble. The mid-bass is scooped out, so bassheads, and those that listen to mid-bass focused genres such as EDM and hip-hop, might need to consider alternatives. A passive electronic crossover ensures each driver gets only what it needs to perform at its best. The included pouch holds the IEMs comfortably but not much else will fit. Some budget hybrids show their true colors when complex or fast movements come into play – they exhibit incoherency, such as the DD bass being slower than the BAs or the timbre varying between driver types. The HEXA are highly coherent – they sound like a single driver set, with no peaks or troughs heard. Another potential issue for people is the nozzle size. These are massive. My right ear is a good bit smaller than my left, to the point that all IEMs visibly fit differently between my ears. The nozzles on the Zeros almost do not fit my right ear, I can just barely get the foam properly compressed in to get a good fit. If you have really small ears, these might not be for you. Als tevreden eigenaar van zowel de Salnotes Zero als de Truthear x Crinacle Zero, ben ik zeer tevreden over de verbeteringen die Truthear in samenspraak met Crinacle heeft doorgevoerd.

That said, the Zero:Red avoid such brightness in favor of slightly darker, more relaxed tuning (close to Harman in-ear target). And I like it a lot. However, the tuning could use some fine tweaks. TRUTHEAR x Crinacle Zero:Red Frequency Response Looking at the frequency response graph, the TRUTHEAR x Crinacle Zero: Red aren’t that far from sounding neutral. Bass: Slightly elevated but never bloated

What on earth are you doing reading the rest of this review? Go and buy one of these! I don't care if you don't listen to IEMs normally. You want this IEM so you know what correct tonality is, when you listen with other transducers such as headphones and speakers. Think of it as the tuning fork that a musician uses! This IEM needs to be in your arsenal. The IEMs do go deeper than the standard so one might feel slightly nauseating and I did get tired after a few good hours but I will still say that for the most time it's comfortable and I personally don't think that the average person might be spending 10-12 hours at one go. The fit of these are comfortable for me as I have big ear canals. But I can see other people having problems with fit due to the large nozzle as even I felt uncomfortable after an hours usage. Interestingly, Zero:Red sound more controlled than KZ AS16 Pro, which use 4 BA drivers exclusively for lower frequencies.TRUTHEAR x Crinacle Zero:Red are the latest pair of affordable in-ear monitors tuned by the IEM king himself ( Crinacle). Despite some initial worries regarding sound (more on that later), we were pleasantly surprised after first listening impressions. Weak sources can power them decently, but the HEXA truly scale when amplified with regards to dynamics and soundstage. Dynamics can be a bit blunted if the HEXA are not fed adequate juice.
