About this deal

I remember all of the epic days in the studio, and I remember moments of satisfaction when we knew we’d nailed it. Clash expanded on this, describing "Release the Pressure" and "Inspection (Check One)" as dub-influenced tracks, while "Storm 3000" is a bass-heavy track that includes jungle rhythms.

About – Leftfield

The baton has been passed on four or five generations but i like to think our record gave music and pop culture a little nudge at the time. Saying no will not stop you from seeing our ads, but it may make them less relevant or more repetitive.

I’m really honoured and often deeply moved by all the amazing things that people say about the record. Couldnt see any groove defects and records fairly flat (i mean can anyone press a perfectly flat record anymore lol?

Leftfield: Leftism Vinyl. Norman Records UK

When I listen to it now i think: yeah, nice one, that was definitely worth all the effort and late nights. Leftfield wanted to do a track with Lydon for about two years but were held up as "it took all that time to get him to commit to doing it and to get the track good enough. Leftfield, now led by cofounder Neil Barnes, will celebrate the reissues with a nearly sold-out UK tour, kicking off on 18th May at London's Steel Yard and wrapping up at Belfast's Mandela Hall on 16th June.It was like pop music sticking two fingers up to pop music at the time and people seemed to take notice. A triple vinyl version (with a gatefold sleeve) will replicate the very original limited vinyl edition of Leftism and comes with a download code of not just the remastered album but also the bonus remixes from the CD (the band have not confirmed who has remixed what track, as yet). British electronic group Leftfield will reissue their 1995 debut album Leftism in May this year as Leftism 22. Leftfield (originally comprised of Neil Barnes and Paul Daley), have been at the cutting edge of dance music since the 1990s, releasing albums that have become some of the most influential electronic records of all time around the world with their debut LP Leftism being widely regarded as one of the most boundary-pushing electronic LPs ever released. Throughout the 90s Leftfield were untouchable live and on record, starting a snowball rolling for British dance music alongside outfits like Orbital, Underworld and the Dust / Chemical Brothers in breaking electronic music from the underground, onto the stage and into the charts.

On its release, the album was well received from the British press with positive reviews from the NME and Q.my of top 10 too - this album covers a menagerie of styles yet comes together to form a sound that is distinctively Leftfield's own.
