About this deal

Lucy Hutton and Joshua Templeman hate each other. Not dislike. Not begrudgingly tolerate. Hate. And they have no problem displaying their feelings through a series of ritualistic passive aggressive maneuvers as they sit across from each other, executive assistants to co-CEOs of a publishing company. Lucy can’t understand Joshua’s joyless, uptight, meticulous approach to his job. Joshua is clearly baffled by Lucy’s overly bright clothes, quirkiness, and Pollyanna attitude. While I would have liked a few chapters from Josh's POV, I enjoyed Lucy's narrative so much! She was such a sweet and funny and adorable person, and you could understand her reservations and her fears! In what ways do Lucy and Josh help each other? What do you think about the way the Templeton family treats Josh? Should parents only be proud of their kids if they pursue certain careers? Dawson, Angela (December 7, 2021). "Lucy Hale And Austin Stowell Connect In 'The Hating Game' ". Forbes . Retrieved June 14, 2023.

Si bien este no es el libro más hot and steamy que he leído en la vida, tuvo sus momentos espectaculares. Hola, ascensor. I just loved everything about this book! I fell in love with the plot, the scenes, the words and the characters! The style of writing and voice were very witty and well-paced in general. Time was shown to pass without unnecessary fillers and enough drop-ins to scenes here and there that truly added to the story and the development of feelings. Honestly, that's one of my biggest issues when reading: unnecessary fillers or there not being enough time for feelings to really develop. But no, these two have worked together for a few years, and the book covers a few months, so I could 100% believe the eventual love between them.

It’s a modern themed book, with good drama, a really good character development, such a good love story, and a little spicyy! Re-read 3/17/20: This book never fails to ease my anxieties and I love it with all of my heart. Forever indebted to this book for making me smile through the roughest times. Also, Lucy and Josh can both, like, get it Nemesis (n.) 1) An opponent or rival whom a person cannot best or overcome. 2) A person’s undoing 3) Joshua Templeman Lucy Hutton has always been certain that the nice girl can get the corner office. She’s charming and accommodating and prides herself on being loved by everyone at Bexley and Gamin. Everyone except for coldly efficient, impeccably attired, physically intimidating Joshua Templeman. And the feeling is mutual. Trapped in a shared office together 40 (OK, 50 or 60) hours a week, they’ve become entrenched in an addictive, ridiculous never-ending game of one-upmanship. There’s the Staring Game. The Mirror Game. The HR Game. Lucy can’t let Joshua beat her at anything—especially when a huge new promotion goes up for the taking. If Lucy wins this game, she’ll be Joshua’s boss. If she loses, she’ll resign. So why is she suddenly having steamy dreams about Joshua, and dressing for work like she’s got a hot date? After a perfectly innocent elevator ride ends with an earth-shattering kiss, Lucy starts to wonder whether she’s got Joshua Templeman all wrong. Maybe Lucy Hutton doesn’t hate Joshua Templeman. And maybe, he doesn’t hate her either. Or maybe this is just another game. The Hating Game by Sally Thorne – eBook Details Joshua and I nod at her and continue striding, unified in our endless game of one-upmanship. My short striped dress flaps from the g-force. in: “I’ve been trying to drag you down with me. In the worst, most ill-conceived and socially retarded way possible.”

Adjust limits for Violence & Scariness in your kid's entertainment guide. Get started Close Still, I would have loved to see more of them together and I would have liked to have some sort of epilogue. It’s just my personal opinion though. *shrugs*Did my friends just not tell me about this one, or did this come out while I was undergoing all that laser hair removal? Dark times, dark times... I was torn between the two, but this is indeed a pretty accurate explanation of what was ratting in my head during this book. Full disclosure: there is a bit of a love triangle in this. Josh doesn't consider himself a "nice guy". In fact, he's a bit bitter about the whole nice guy thing. And Lucy is a nice girl, at least outwardly (she has a bit more spunk on the inside...hahahahaha). She wants a nice guy, and she tries to be interested in a nice guy, but the niceness cannot compare to the intensity of her "hatred" for Josh. He even encourages her to try it with the nice guy, dares her to be with him, in fact. This was maybe the only time I felt a bit off about the book. Both love and hate are mirror versions of the same game - and you háve to win. Why? Your heart and your ego. Trust me, I should know.”
