In the story, Shirotani Tadaomi, secretary of a company president, meets Riku Kurose, a counselor. After he gives Shirotani a diagnosis for mysophobia, Shirotani ends up attending his counseling sessions. On top of everything else, the chemistry between Shirotani and Kurose is so clear and sweet from the beginning, and I loved how, when other minor characters noticed the tension, they were all so accepting and even incredibly encouraging. All in all, it was a great read and I can't wait for volume 2 to arrive in the mail! Kurose asks him to write a list of 10 things he is reluctant to do—thus beginning his course of exposure therapy. Yet, Shirotani wonders why Kurose would show such kindness to a stranger. After all, the two have barely met, and Kurose does not deny the accusations of an ulterior motive. I read it 3 times. Every time I read it, I realize something new. It really is a poignant story. Not because of the porn. But because of the painful, ordinary conversations between people that make you cry. My favorite scenes are Kurose's past, the 'Please don't throw me away' scene, 'I guess your tears are contagious' scene, Nishigaki scene, and their beautiful first kiss. Shirotani is the personal assistant to the president of a major corporation. He's a germophobe, but does good enough work that the people he works with are willing to overlook it. He has a chance encounter with Kurose, a therapist who offers to work with him to overcome his phobia. The core of this process is a list of ten actions of increasing difficulty (for a germophobe) that Shirotani must perform--in his own time, when he feels ready--before he will consider himself cured. Number 10 has been left blank for now, but I'm sure it will be filled in by the end of the series. There's some mystery as to why exactly Kurose is helping him, but I'm sure we'll know by the end etc. There seem to be (ba bump) feelings for each other on both sides of this potential relationship ...

But he showed extraordinary resolve in waiting as long as he did. If it was left up to the protagonist, they'd never touch. Shamelessly, I was entranced by the bishie on the cover. :D But what I got is a really heartwarming and pretty deep look at the relationship between two guys, one with Mysophobia, and the other of whom is a psychiatrist. THE PLOT: A man in his thirties suffers with acute mysophobia (a fear of dirt and filth) and meets a therapist from a mental health clinic who volunteered to help him with his crippling affliction. The therapist puts him under what is known as 'exposure therapy'. To do so, the therapist had the mysophobe write down his Top 10 list of the things he is not comfortable doing and brings him the most anxiety; with 1 being the lowest and 10 being the highest. Item 10 was left blank, and this is where the patient's trauma stems from which we will later find out more as the story progresses.
