However, we still thought that it was a nice touch, as it lets you see how close the water is to boiling, and brings a nice analogue touch to our increasingly digital world. Like quite a few kettles around this price point, the Renaissance promises a "quiet boil" function. In practise, we've found that this generally doesn't mean much.
