About this deal

Plug up to 6x RGB fans directly into the included iCUE Lighting Node CORE to control your RGB lighting without the need for a fan hub, making for brilliant lighting effects right out of the box with CORSAIR iCUE software. The colors are bright and vibrant, and the fans themselves provide quite decent airflow through the case. CORSAIR iCUE software brings your system to life with dynamic RGB lighting control, synchronized across all your iCUE compatible products, including memory, fans, RGB LED light strips, keyboards, mice and more. Thanks a lot for your help, could you please help me with the last question. I am worried that Commander Core and Lightning Nude Pro are not combined in any way. That is, they will both be connected to the motherboard, but not to each other. Does this have any consequences?

I have included fans in charts where the rated RPM is within 50 RPM of the chart cutoff point, and have also removed fans either too old or simply redundant because an updated version has been introduced. I did keep the older CORSAIR HD120 RGB simply because I no longer have the older SP120 RGB, or the SP120 LED and SP120 QE which were tested elsewhere. In addition, I have removed fans that only appear once or twice in these charts since they are not good for comparison as more entries are added to the test database. The specific RPM values chosen reflect usage scenarios most popular with watercooling even though some fans (the Noctua NF-A12x25, for instance) go higher. The charts are to be considered for comparison within this result set only and are not to be compared with results from another test elsewhere owing to different testing conditions. Iluminación RGB: Los Corsair iCUE SP120 RGB ELITE vienen con iluminación RGB personalizable que permite a los usuarios crear efectos de iluminación atractivos en su sistema. Connect up to 6x SP120 RGB fans to the included iCUE Lighting Node CORE compact RGB lighting controller to create dazzling lighting patterns and effects with powerful CORSAIR iCUE software, bringing your system to life with dynamic RGB lighting synchronized across all your iCUE compatible products. https://www.corsair.com/ca/en/Categories/Products/Fans/sp-series-rgb-led-config/p/CO-9050059-WW#tab-tech-specsThe 2nd top performer on our list and possibly most stylistically elegant in design, the Silent wings 3 from be quiet! is a must have if RGB isn’t your thing and you want an alternative route to Noctua’s basic and famed beige colour scheme; something Noctua has been working on changing with their new Chromax products. You can connect them to the RGB side of the Commander Core, but you will need to use the MB or another fan controller for the SP-Pro. As stated above, they are DC motors (3 pin connector) and controlled by voltage. The Commander Core is a PWM controller and keep the voltage at 12v all the time. This will make those fans run at 1700 rpm all the time with no fan speed control.

In reality though, neither fans are particularly high performance (in terms of airflow/static pressure in relation to noise), so keep in mind you are paying a premium for the RGB. Yes, it will work for the most part. SP-Pro (8 LEDs), ML-Elite (8), LL120 (16) and CUE will designate everything as 'base 16'. When you apply a static color or something that does not move from fan to fan, all is well. They all light and do the right thing. It is the special LL/QL effects that do jump from fan to fan and rely on the presence of an outer LED ring neither the SP-Pro or ML-Elite have. This is enough to keep you busy for a while. You will have to use the Commander Core as one controller since it is required to power/control the Elite series AIO. That's not a problem and it gives you 6 PWM and 6 RGB ports on the other side. The Lighting Node Core that comes with the case can be saved for later expansion or something else. https://www.corsair.com/us/en/Categories/Products/Fans/RGB-%26-LED-Fans/iCUE-SP-RGB-ELITE-Series-Fans/p/CO-9050109-WW#tab-tech-specsCORSAIR iCUE software brings your system to life with dynamic RGB lighting synchronized across all your iCUE compatible products, including fans, RGB LED light strips, keyboards, mice and more. Plus the PSU, but I'm happy to not have this controlled by iCue for the moment, as on the 280X case I have it will be out of sight anyway.
