The NIrV is not the only good kids Bible translation, but it is a good choice for elementary school students. The NIrV is translated from the original languages of the Bible and it’s easy to read. It has a reading level of grade 3-5, making it perfect for early elementary school students. Another good kids Bible translation is the New King James Version (NKJV), which has a reading level of grade 6-8. Which bible translation is right for my child’s reading level? When we’re following the surprisingly simple worship plan for families, we typically use our personal Bibles. My ESV study Bible is always near me at the table, so I tend to grab that one.
