About this deal

See our recommendations for the best soundbars, the best budget soundbars, and the best soundbars with a subwoofer. The Sony HT-SF200 remote control is a direct replacement for the original remote, and provides all the functions to control the device. We’ve sourced this remote control directly from Sony, and it’s supplied with a full 1-year warranty, with same day dispatch before 3PM. Please include what you were doing when this page came up and the Cloudflare Ray ID found at the bottom of this page. The Dolby Duel surround sound system and built in subwoofer is superb and the units size of just under 2ft or 600mm in length will fit on or under most TV stands.

There are some EQ presets such as 'Standard', 'Auto Sound', 'Music', and 'Cinema' available to help you find the best sound for your audio, and you can tweak the bass level too, which is nice. It has seven EQ presets, its surround performance is slightly better, and it even supports Atmos content by downmixing it, which is unique in a 2. On the upside, it can get loud enough for most use cases and it performs well at max volume without compression. This is no bose or sonos, but for the money it's a great addition for watching films and general tv.Finance is provided by PayPal Credit (a trading name of PayPal UK Ltd, Whittaker House, Whittaker Avenue, Richmond-Upon-Thames, Surrey, United Kingdom, TW9 1EH). Furthermore, unless your older devices have a Bluetooth connection, you can't use their Audio Out jack to connect to the bar due to the lack of an Analog Audio In.

It can also get pretty loud and you can also use the Dialogue Enhancement feature to get an even better listening experience and make dialogue in movies even clearer. However, this bar won’t be great for an immersive movie listening experience, as it lacks height channel and support for Atmos content. Main problem, though, is that CONNECTION between the TV and the sound bar is EXTREMELY erratic and cumbersome.

However, if you want to use your soundbar as a hub between devices, you may prefer the Sony because it has an HDMI Out port. It uses the left and right speakers to create a sound in the center, which sounds more diffused and less clear compared to a discrete center, but the performance is still good overall.

Sony is committed not only to offering products, services and content that deliver exciting experiences but also to working towards our goal of a zero environmental footprint throughout our business activities. It isn't very tall and it's unlikely to block any part of the bottom of your screen unless the TV stand is very short, or the TV sits flush on the table. It takes an eternity for the sound bar to be switched on/replace the TV speakers and the connection can sometimes easily be lost. The (not supported) DTS format isn't common on its own; it's the fallback for the higher quality DTS-HD MA available on many Blu-ray discs. It has a more neutral sound profile, it can downmix surround content, and it also has a shared HDMI ARC/Out input. I am really pleased and glad I purchased, it's so easy to set up just plug and play and listen to the clear pure quality sound and a good bluetooth mode also. I connected the two devices using an HDMI cable (as I was sure the Bluetooth/wifi connection would be guaranteed to be unsafe and insecure).
