About this deal

Pingu the Chef (BBCV 4975), Pingu the Photographer (BBCV 5380), Pingu's Birthday (BBCV 5664) Original 1993-95 UK VHS.afpk Barrel of Fun (BBCV 4653), Pingu 2 - Building Igloos (BBCV 4812), Pingu 3 - Hide and Seek (BBCV 4868) 1991-92 UK VHS.afpk After Mum and Pinga leave, Pingu peers out of the toy box and cannot see Pinga anywhere, so he decides to have a little sleep while he is waiting. Suddenly the toy box starts moving by itself across the floor and the lid on the saucepan starts rattling about. A plate then falls out of the cupboard but as it lands on the floor it magically duplicates itself. Pingu suddenly wakes up and is surprised to see the telephone ringing without making a sound. Pingu goes to answer the phone but there is no one on the other end. Then the phone's receiver snaps off, its body falls off the wall and they both turn into flowers. Then some of toys and one of the books jump out of the toy box and onto the floor. The book morphs into three and then they start to dance along with the saucepan lid and the firewood.

Music/Sounds: Same as the later variant of the last logo, but with an extra section of the song at the beginning, and Pingu's "Noot, Noot" sound as well. Trivia: This logo was used as the intro for the U.S. Pingu VHS/DVD Meet Pingu. Meet Pingu itself was the first Pingu home video in the U.S. Music/Sounds Trivia: The "Pingu Dance" was released as a single by David Hasselhoff in Switzerland only, due to his love of Pingu. When Pingu is looking around the abandoned igloo, the igloo is clearly a different model as it is completely white when the other model has quite a few marks and scratches. It was seen on the first two seasons of Pingu. It was last seen on UK television in 2012, when the series last aired on CBeebies (the BBC retained the old master prints of the series well after the HIT remastering). It can also be seen on many VHS tapes (mainly in the UK and Australia), and most likely on the Japanese DVD sets released in 2000.

The show's international distribution rights were handled by Netherlands-based firm Editoy AG. Editoy was renamed to Pingu BV in 1996, and assumed its current name of The Pygos Group in 2001 after being acquired by a Texas-based firm called Joker, Inc., shortly before the company was bought out by British-based entertainment company HIT Entertainment. The toy plane then takes off and flies out the front door. Pingu follows it outside where he finds the sky has gone purple and the snowman has come to life. The snowman shows Pingu his garden where more flowers growing in the snow. To Pingu’s surprise, one of the flowers changes into an apple tree. One apple falls off the tree and Pingu gulps it down straight away. He then spots a cascade of fruit juice pouring into a lake. He goes across to it, produces a straw and starts drinking it all up until a flying fish flies up into view. It lands in Pingu’s wing and then flies down his throat. Music/Sounds: A section of the song "Pingu Dance" which was used as the opening and closing theme to the show for seasons 3 and 4, as well as the remastered versions of Seasons 1 and 2. Logo: Same basic concept as the previous logo, but in stop motion rather than hand-drawn animation. The chyroned text "PINGU Filmstudio Switzerland" appears on the bottom in white.
