About this deal

There’s a lot to like about the Giro Cinder. Personally, I think it looks killer from every angle – thoroughly modern, and aero-looking with sharp lines. Giro doesn’t make any specific aero claims about this helmet, but it seems rather streamlined when riding, without creating undue wind noise regardless of head angle. For mountain biking, protection is the first and most important part so they will be heavier from the more material to cover more part of the head. In DH the design is even full to protect your facial bones as well when things go wrong yet the construction type is usually the same; polycarbonate shell with EPS foam on the inside. About Giro Cinder and Foray

Giro has grasped the new innovation in their helmet run. While you never really utilized the helmet or MIPS severely, you will feel supported realizing the innovation is actually there. So, here are a few reasons as to why you should go for Giro Cinder over Giro Synthe. I don’t say that MIPS is bad, I do support every attempt to make helmets safer and looking at the way it works, it seems obvious that it could be very effective. But without some publicly available independent test reports to compare and prove its effectiveness, I remain skeptical. The Giro Cinder and Ember MIPS are the little brother and sister of the Giro Synthe MIPS. Where the Cinder has been introduced as a men’s helmet, the Ember is introduced at a later point as a women’s helmet with only the esthetics to differentiate itself. The Cinder and Ember, different colors but the same helmet.

The Cinder MIPS is mid-range helmet that is not far of the high end Synthe helmet. Yes, the Synthe is a better helmet, it fits better, looks better, has better airflow and has a nicer finish. But still…is it €150 euro’s better? If you have the money to spend and the helmet it fits well, then it’s a no-brainer. But if its more value for money you look for, then the Cinder is definitely a better choice. A pretty good deal, if the Giro Cinder fits you. For the construction they use in-mold technique which means the foam and outer shell is fused together or not combined using glue which is the more traditional and less durable in comparison so you can expect these models to last for quite the time when treated properly. They are also sold in MIPS variant which adds a special layer inside to help the helmet moving or rotate a bit while keeping the fit inside stay snug to your head to reduce rotational impact. Giro Cinder and Foray Fit And two, I can fit into a medium Cinder but have to bump up to a large Synthe, and I prefer a smaller helmet than a wider one, pretentious roadie that I am.Compared to traditional vertical testing (bottom left), MIPS liners are tested to withstand the rotational forces (top) experienced during real-world bike crashes (bottom right). Credit: MIPS AB The Giro Cinder Mips uses their Roc Loc 5 retention mech, which adjusts the tightness and the height of the cradle. It’s also ponytail friendly. Depending on the brand their sizing can be different as well but usually extra small is below 20- inches, medium, from 21.75 inches, and large from 23.25 inches. To know this measurement, just use a flexible tape and measure your head circumference at about an inch above the eyebrow. Bike Helmet Type Charged as the spending rendition of Giro Synthe, Giro Cinder MIPS highlights a significant number of the superior highlights of its steady mate, at a sniff of the expense. There is a ladies’ adjustment as well.
