About this deal

Lo que más me gustó es que Valentina es una mujer luchadora, dura y fuerte. Puede defenderse por sí sola y lo demostró. Giorgio takes Mari to one of his properties and no one knows where she is but him, and the three people he has working at the house. These three are people he thinks he can trust but they also don't know the real reason why Mari is staying with him. Giorgio tries to keep his distance from Mari to be cordial but give her space. Mari wants his attention, and she works at getting it and he struggles to resist her. She is no longer an innocent virgin. Giorgio doesn't think he will ever be good enough for Mari because she is mafia royalty, and her marriage will need to be with someone that strengthens the family not someone like him. He will also be betrayed by someone close to him which I didn't see coming. When the time comes because of this thought he pushes her away and she is heartbroken, and he is an idiot. He finally realizes how stupid he was, but it might be to late. I loved reading the love letters he wrote here, letting her know just how much he loved her and wanted to be with her. His words were special, and they just might work. The ending is great, and not only does it have an HEA for the couple, but things finally go right for Mari's brother. I’ve read a lot of mafia books and this is the first time I’ve seen the famiglia referred to as “the clan” quite a weird to refer to the mob as a clan :/ I’d expect that maybe in a Scottish werewolf series? Maybe it’s just me, but I found it weird. Es un romance oscuro de mafia con un ritmo bastante rápido y con el tropo de amor instantáneo (de los que menos me gustan).

The book was ok but it dragged.... Val rescues a women from her husband's clutches. She then leaves to run away to an island in Spain. Just when she thinks she is free and clear of the mafia she meets. Damiano. It's definitely a small work when Dams sister and Val see each other again. Valentina is a mafia princess who isn’t your typical princess. Her forced mafia husband forces her to do awful things and when Vale gets the opportunity to run she does. She runs all the way to Ibiza where she meets Mr. De Rossi. De Rossi is a business mongol who owns most of the island, especially the partying business. There is an instant connection of attraction which leads to obsession from both sides. De Rossi can’t understand why but he wants to protect her while trying to run his businesses. As the plot goes along, you find out that both of them have their own secrets that leads them to become enemies for a short period. Even though they become enemies, they are still lovers and wanting to help each other. They eventually work out their issues and work together to destroy her husband and De Rossi’s rivals. Liked the characters, a couple decent 🔥 scenes, overarching plot and existing character development! Hero relatively J/P 🥰 When we got to the last chapter and the overall subplot concerning the Mafia side of things was not concluded I knew we would be getting more books within this world (but with different couples). There are a lot of enemies to get through and it's obvious this subplot will play out throughout the upcoming books.Despite these tropes having in this book, I still wasn't intrigued. I heard that this book was a slow burn with a possessive male...

The side characters, particularly Ras, Martina, and that other guy, are far more interesting than the main characters.

The h was in a dreadful arranged marriage but it was definitely not the stuff of dark romance fairytales. Her husband is a literal sociopath I think. The book opens two months into the marriage. We learn he did unpleasantly consummate their marriage on their wedding night but it turns out he had more sadistic tastes. He didn’t physically hurt h, he forced her to torture and kill his marks with him. She’s summoned home from a bridal shower early to find he has a girl, a job, she’s meant to help him torture. Instead she helps her escape and shoots her husband. Everything was so well balanced. Alsooo the ins and outs of the mafia world were soo in depth like , Gabrielle are you in the Mafia 😅😅😅???

I have this fantasy where I bend you over my desk, fill you with my c💦m, and make you spend the rest of the day with me dripping down your thighs.” ❞ Maybe wanted something more, but overall was a good read, kept me interested, unlike some other books recently.. ! The party goes all night and all morning here.” Sounds like I’m about to become a creature of the night. It could be a good thing. After all, in the dark there are more places to hide.” When my resistance to him is all but gone, a secret is revealed, and we fall apart like a house of cards. The FMC's ( Valentina ) character development was everything , I felt it in my body . Seriously if it was me I would never survive what she had gone through. I want to give her a long hug and praise her for her character growth . The MMC's ( Damiano ) tragic past got me shedding tears and how he grew to this wise , rational and powerful man was mind-blowing . I ABSOLUTELY loved it .The beginning didn’t linger for long and I absolutely loved that we saw Vale make her own way before meeting up with Dem. I felt so many emotions for her when she was on her own, penniless and terrified of what to do next.

Safety - again I’d call this safe as there is no cheating between H/h. You definitely feel no sympathy for the psycho ex. If you're looking for a perfect book to get you out of a reading slump or cheer up your day this IS the one because I'm not lying when I say I finished in one sitting. When she unravels is a perfect well paced mafia romance story with dual povs and the right amount of spice that'll leave you sweating balls . and this hero was completely useless. For a man who wants to head the “clan” (aka: mafia) he was wildly inept. He had one job, to keep the 2 women in his life safe, and he failed several times. If you don't mind teenage age gaps, then this was a great book with a lot of feeling, drama, and good plot. The MCs had great chemistry and I enjoyed their interactions. This is definitely instalove/instalust. There is also technically cheating in this book since Valentina is still married when her and Damiano get together but I don't consider it cheating since her marriage was never a marriage. Her husband is a psychopath who really needed to get major help. One thing that I really liked about this book was that Damiano De Rossi is possessive but not controlling. His possessiveness is out of wanting to protect her versus being controlling as a lot of possessive males are written like. He helps her as she’s unexperienced in the bedroom department and takes care of her even when they are enemies for a bit. He helps her learn to be independent and that she should forgive herself for helping her husband when she had no control over it. He truly cares for his family and later for Valentina. I liked his character and the way he acts. He‘s a big bad guy, but has a big soft spot for Ale. I’ve had this one in my TBR for a while, have started and stopped three times before carrying on. I’m an emotionally minded reader, so sometimes books don’t hit right based on my mood at the moment. I never got past the beginning beyond the first interactions with her awful husband or to her escape. I can’t even say why, but I’m glad I finally pushed through. It was so worth it. I share this only so that anyone else who may find themselves in a similar situation may be reassured it’s worth pushing on.
