Now with the Essential garments the base layer itself is made from Elastane (83%) and Polyester (17%). Motorcycle leggings are generally suitable for summer weather, but with regular jeans you will also get through the spring and autumn well. The loops created during interweaving, in case of tension such as in an accident, overlap, forming a wear-resistant layer. You love your favourite pair of leggings, the way they make you feel, and now you can wear them on your bike too. Elastic stirrups build into the hem of each leg help keep these legging in place even under adverse conditions.

Hand washing can also fade the outer layer as detergents are not diluted as they would be in a machine wash. Given the nature of the woven Kevlar—plus the fact they look like yellow pajamas—we don’t necessarily recommend riding in these leggings alone.
