About this deal

With all the "struggles" Nina faces, she occasionally comes out as self centered. I know I'm supposed to feel sympathy for her or something, but I didn't. She seemed extremely one was to me, almost as though she was just "undergoing the process" with everything instead of an character that comes to life with soul and emotion. Maybe it was simply how the character was written. Help your children develop their own relationship with God through Bible study, journaling, art and more! More than Words, Level 1 is designed to help first, second, and third graders cultivate a living faith in God and Christ-like character. This interactive workbook can be used as a children’s devotional or Bible curriculum for homeschool families and Christian schools. My biggest issue with this book was that I felt nothing. This was a book that relied on a connection to the characters and I sadly never felt one. Mindfulness has a range of meanings as it"has become a trend word conveying a diversity of understandings dependent on context" (Crane, 2017, p. 586).

I was the biggest fan of Santopolo’s The Light We Lost, it was a story which had me thinking about it for days after and Santopolo’s world building was majestically done. So, when I first heard about More than Words, I dived right in, going into books with the least amount of impressions works wonders for me, as I like being surprised by the different elements a book may bring. And whilst I loved Santopolo’s writing once again with this story; it really was beautifully done, I felt that More than Words wasn’t able to leave a big of an impact as The Light we Lost did. Don’t get me wrong I did enjoy this book, I liked following Nina on her journey of who she was, with the way her life had been going, things were already expected of her; to take over her father’s firm and she was in a secure relationship with her boyfriend Tim. But then with her father passing away and revelations coming from all over the place, things really weren’t as they seemed, what did Nina really want to do with her life? I liked how Santopolo allowed Nina to really explore her options, yes at times there were difficult decisions to make, but if Nina really wasn’t happy with something then she really shouldn’t have to settle. Despite there being several bumps along the way, I was happy with the character that emerged in Nina at the end of this story. As an aspiring children’s literature writer, I’m pleasantly surprised and inspired to learn that Roald Dahl’s classic Charlie and the Chocolate Factory is only 30,644 words long. You can manage that in a month, for sure! It’s also interesting to note that James M. Cain’s noir novel Double Indemnity is only 30,072. And at 30,000 words, most of these novels fall into the novella length, which is generally between 17,500 and 40,000 words. The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe The internet has officially destroyed everyone’s attention span; so much so that making it through a Spot The Dog book now requires a major feat of concentration.

Author Karen Witermeyer grew up in California before moving to Texas to go to Abilene Christian University, where she got master’s and bachelor’s degrees in Psychology. While attending the school, she met and married a Texas hero of her own. The guy roped her in real good, as she has lived in Texas ever since.Love triangles are nothing new, but this one is done well. So many times I’m clearly rooting hard for one person to “get the girl” in these types of stories, but here I genuinely liked both men in Nina’s life which made me feel for her (and them) as she struggled to chose one of them. There was quite a bit of drama here as Nina navigates life after her fathers death, which was also fun as it broke up the romancey parts. Mindfulness has a range of meanings as it"has become a trend word conveying a diversity of understandings dependent on context" (Crane, 2017, p. 586) and can encompass... Narrative reference What happens when you start to discover the person you most admired, the truths you most believed in, aren’t what you thought? In Jill Santopolo's More Than Words that question is examined in great detail.

Overall though, I could still recommend this for readers who enjoy love triangles and blush worthy bedroom scenes! Extensive research has shown that when parents interact with their child in specific ways that motivate, encourage and support communication, they can make a significant difference to their child's social and communication development. In that book, Lucy struggled to resolve her feelings for 'the one who got away" with “the one who took his place”. The insta-love. Oh how instant it was. Nina literally breaks up with her fiancé and falls face first into her boss 4 hours later. WTF?! The word count of Ursula K. Le Guin’s six-book Earthsea series is 480,503. That’s like reading Stephen King’s The Stand: Uncut at 471,485 words and a third of Ernest Hemingway’s The Old Man and the Sea at 26,601 words. A Wizard of Earthsea Rafael is a charismatic and handsome character, unlike anyone in Nina's life. Hers is a life of privilege, which she does not take lightly. She is dating her best friend Tim but begins to chafe at the life planned out for her.

This one was even better than the first, some feel. The book has parts that will leave you teary eyed, and some happy parts too, and parts that will leave you laughing. She heard her father’s voice in her mind: You’re smarter than that. And she was. But sometimes it wasn’t about intelligence. Not when the heart got involved. Her father never seemed to understand that. Or maybe he did. All too well."Each lesson can be done in five to ten minutes a day. This Charlotte Mason inspired workbook offers four lessons per week and can be accomplished in 36 weeks.
