About this deal

I've now started using a line down the longer length of the CPU instead and the spread comes out much better.

The successor to the popular MX-5, Arctic reveals that the new substance is “based on the proven MX-4” formula. Therefore, a filler material with very good thermal conductivity is required to compensate for the unevenness between the cooler and the chip and to fundamentally improve the heat transfer. No two brands and models are the same, with different models boasting different strengths and witnesses. To that end, you have to manage the heat and its impact on the performance of your PC and the lifespan of your processor.

UPDATE: I just repasted both my GPU and CPU with a genuine MX-5 and temps dropped about 4-5 degrees on both of them! As we see from the numbers, thermal paste isn’t really going to make the same amount of difference as a CPU cooler will, but if you want to squeeze every last bit of performance out of that CPU cooler, make sure to pick some up with your new computer purchase. Although the real-life performances of both the ARCTIC MX-4 and Noctua NT-H1 are close, it will make a huge difference if you are into overclocking. Our MX pastes have long stood for high performance and quality, and with our new, recyclable packaging, we aim to reduce CO 2 emissions and thus make a contribution to the environment. And just like back the day when i was looking for the best paste, everything is only like 0~3deg difference.

Thermal pastes should not be reapplied more than once every few years, at least that’s what Intel is telling us. The Kryonaut is great, but it’s more expensive and doesn’t offer much else to suggest it’s better than its counterpart. Also, packaging from the Arctic has changed over time, but the formula composition has remained steadfast. Got a ton of different answers but OCN was all about CoolerMaster Gel, Thermalright, and Thermal Grizzly.Today we’re going to do a thermal paste review and the thermal paste is going to be Arctic Cooling’s newest MX-4 thermal paste. That’s because heat is a major issue that bugs a lot of systems, slows them down, and reduces their durability. So even if you’re an experienced user, you’d want to know a thing or two about the viscosity of a paste before you apply it. With its outstanding performance, the MX-4 is not only an excellent choice for overclockers and enthusiasts, but also for other applications that require thermal transmission.
