Your tour will end in our tasting bar where you are entitled to taste two of our products, or, take a miniature bottle away with you. This is a fine quality distilled gin using botanicals from the four corners of the world and bottled at Penderyn Distillery married with water from the Brecon Beacons National Park. It is bottled at 40% abv. We regret that, as the production floor is an industrial area, it is not accessible to under 14s or wheelchair users. However, an alternative, part-guided tour is available. Flat shoes (no sandals/flip flops/heeled boots/heeled shoes) only to be worn on the production floor. Mobile phones and cameras are prohibited on the production floor for safety purposes.

The delightful world of Welsh gin has never been healthier. Wales has not been excluded from the gin zeitgeist and a host of new distilleries have opened in recent years. In 2012 there was just one distillery in Wales - Penderyn, but figures from the Wine and Spirit Trade Association (WSTA) showed the number of distilleries in Wales has jumped from six in 2014 to 17 today, with four new distilleries opening in 2017 alone. Following on from the multi-award-winning success of our Brecon Special Reserve Gin and our Brecon Botanicals Gin, Penderyn are delighted to announce the launch of Rose Petal gin. It is based on our Brecon Special Reserve gin (which won a Master at the 2021 Spirits Business Global Gin Masters) and bottled at 37.5% abv. This is a fine quality distilled gin using botanicals from the four corners of the world and bottled at Penderyn Distillery using water from the Brecon Beacons National Park.

Best served with ice and chilled tonic water. Garnish with a slice of pink grapefruit and fresh mint leaves. Rich velvety chocolate swirls around this gin. Powdery cocoa and silky vanilla succumb to zesty, sweet orange bursts and an unmistakeably full-bodied juniper, Dry cassia bark balanced with smooth fresh cream lingers in the mouth. The award-winning Brecon Gin series has been expanded using Brecon Special Reserve as a base for three new exciting flavoured expressions. These flavoured and coloured gins have been created with balance and creativity and will hopefully create more interest for our regular Brecon Gin customers, and bring new drinkers to the brand and the category.’ A burst of tangy rhubarb blends with bittersweet cranberry to give a fresh and fruity gin. Aromas of juicy grapefruit and fresh strawberries swirl on the nose, while juniper mingles with coriander and sweet orris root in the mouth, leaving a dry lingering finish.

It is based on our Brecon Special Reserve gin (which won a Master at the 2021 Spirits Business Global Gin Masters) and bottled at 37.5% abv.The bottles were designed by acclaimed drinks designer Glenn Tutssel, and the gins have been created by our all-women distilling team. Glenn, who sadly passed away in 2019, said – Penderyn Distillery produces award-winning single malt whiskies and spirits in the foothills on the magnificent Brecon Beacons in South Wales. One of the few remaining independent distilleries, Penderyn takes its name from the old Welsh village in which it is located. The Brecon Beacons National Park is an area of outstanding natural beauty famed for its breath-taking scenery, open moorland, clear rivers and tumultuous waterfalls. We produce small quantities of the finest malted barley spirit, which, when matured, is recognised worldwide as one of the smoothest malt whiskies.
