Renegade Lost” is the fourth novel in the “Renegade Star” series and was released in the year 2018. One unknown civilization and one ship lost. Renegade is the story of San Diego police officer Reno Raines, an ex– Army Ranger, who was called to Bay City, California, by his good friend District Attorney Harry Wells. Harry hired Reno to work undercover, exposing corrupt police officers. In a meeting with Harry Wells and Bay City Police Lieutenant Donald "Dutch" Dixon, Reno explains he has enough evidence to press charges of murder and robbery against Dixon's partner Buzzy Burrell. Not wanting to be implicated in any crimes, Burrell and Dixon break convicted murderer Hogg Adams out of prison to kill Raines. Later that night, Hogg busts into Reno's hotel room, aiming for Reno, but shooting his fiancée, Valerie Prentiss, instead. Hogg flees the hotel and Burrell is seen rushing in to make sure Reno is dead. Dixon arrives moments afterward and kills Burrell with Reno's weapon.

Thanks to an odd girl with a remarkable gift, named Lex, the path to Earth’s been revealed. Earth, according to ancient myth, holds lost technology, some valuable treasures, and endless secrets. All of which are ripe for the taking. Jace and his new buddies have an opportunity to find all of it, however only if they are able to keep Lex out of the grasp of the Union. The Wight is certainly one of the best defensive ships in Starfield (its shield and hull strength are insane), but it’s one of the few defensive ships that doesn’t make notable sacrifices in other key areas to attain its survivability. It has fantastic fuel and crew capacity, a decent cargo hold, and it will destroy just about anything in combat with relative ease. While its engines are a bit on the weaker side, that’s a negligible downside given what else this vessel has to offer. Select “Group Meditation” as a team-building exercise and always select the most positive and reaffirming dialog options during that sequence. 9. Razorleaf Jace Hughes and the people of Earth have joined with the Union and the Sarkonians to create the largest alliance in human history. They have amassed a wealth of weapons, shields, and the strongest military ever conceived. But it may not be enough. Lex: She is an albino girl with strange tattoos and an even more unusual and mysterious past. We learn more about her as the series unfolds. Still, she was everything you’d expect in a character who’s probably only ten years old. I don’t remember if they said her exact age so that I could be off by a year or two either way. She was definitely more girl than woman. As the series progresses, we watch her grow up and learn more about her, but I can’t say more without spoilers. Overall, she’s easily one of my favorite characters and was well written.Climb on board The Renegade Star and assemble your crew, follow these clues, reveal the truth, and most importantly, attempt to survive. The series stars Lorenzo Lamas as Reno Raines, a police officer who is framed for a murder he did not commit. Raines goes on the run and joins forces with Native American bounty hunter Bobby Sixkiller, played by Branscombe Richmond. Stephen J. Cannell also had a recurring role as the main villain, crooked police officer Donald 'Dutch' Dixon.

This is kind of a fun book to read. While the language is pretty raw, at least from Jace, it doesn’t seem all that out of place. Jace does what he wants and has always done things that way. He’s not all that educated, but he’s been able to stay alive in the Badlands which is remarkable in itself. He does have a compassionate side which he wouldn’t ever admit and takes a liking to the little girl, Lex, from the start. He treats other people pretty nicely in action although his words don’t always sound that nice. After taking over the artificial metal planet from the enemy, Jace must focus his energies on locating Athena, the missing Cognitive and one of the greatest intelligence assets to ever exist.

I don’t want to discourage folks from this installment, because it truly is pretty good and worth a listen if you like the series. If you’re willing to do that, though, then this ship does have a lot to offer. It’s fantastic in combat, it comes with Shielded Cargo capacity, it’s highly mobile, its Crew Capacity is respectable, and it’s the perfect choice for jumping between star systems. It’s not exceptional in any particular category (and you can’t upgrade it), but those who want to blaze through the game’s story will find that it’s a nice little reward.
