About this deal

Susan Lewis is a new author to me and this is the first book I've read by her but it certainly won't be my last. I had a hard time completely swallowing some things-- especially the end (although I could understand why this ending was chosen). When she's put on bedrest, Essie trades the last aspects of her carefully planned life for isolation in what should be a welcoming home, but she isn't alone. Ottilie's is a truly horrific story and having a daughter myself that is close to her age I found myself really struggling to read the bits about her without feeling sick or wanting to cry. So they showing this and saying that this is a true story makes you think "Oh, man, EVERYONE is sick!

Obviously in the times we live in now there will be cases where adults are falsely accused of molestation, but I think the film demonstrates how these should still be investigated seriously, because for this type of thing to happen just once is far too much in the life of a child.

I found this book really frustrating, especially since it was Susan Lewis and I expected something a bit more smoother.

Following the Children’s Society report on the growing problem of child prostitution in Britain’s cities, legislation to ease prosecution and increase prison sentences for pimps and child abusers is on its way. Tracy Nelson plays off of this brilliantly as the quieter and stressed Tammy who wants her mother's approval but never seems able to meet her standards or do as her mother wants.

Feeling helpless, Kerry frequently visits her class teacher and tries to move in with him, but he is unable to care for her.

sad ones who are lost and broken and without any hope at all until sometimes just a teeny bit of hope is able to work its way through by loving caregivers or even the kindness of strangers. As this was 500ish pages, I think a lot could have been left out that did not necessarily add to the overall plot line (perhaps her being a producer of a play), in my opinion. Todays date is June 21st,2019 the dates important because this film regardless of when it was released in '97 still packs the punch of modern cinema. When she first sees little Ottilie Wade, she immediately register both concern for the child and a strange attraction. If you had a child which needed extra care and you knew that whilst you could give them the love but not the care and attention they needed would you give it up to someone else who was better equipped to do so?Dieser britische, kleine, auf wahren Ereignissen basierende Fernsehfilm hat mich schockiert, traurig, wütend und absolut fassungslos zurückgelassen wie lange kein Film mehr.

We are dedicated to some of the most morbid, macabre, strange, obscure, and disturbing flicks out there! As Essie’s pregnancy progresses, both her and her husband’s lives warp into the echoes of Isabel and Ana’s story. It was a class film full of emotion which, I don't believe it has been on since, anybody know if it is available on DVD or VHS?

It's sad to see that this film hasn't gotten a better release outside of a low resolution tv rip because this was such a powerful movie. Alex Lake not only gets attached to her charge, but she also experiences lost and found from her tragedy as a little girl. A lot of other reviewers complained about this but I do think it was important to really get a picture of what was going on. While this made for TV film is not gratuitous and with film that looks like it was taken on a potato, the performance from Brooke Kinsella in the lead role is compelling with a message that is delivered in a direct and painful way that leaves very little to the imagination.
