About this deal

What you get here is regular maintenance cleaning: the Roomba i7+ will cope with most daily spills, but you’ll need to take out your standard vacuum cleaner once a week or so to fully deal with your home. You’ll find a standard layout on the underside of the cleaner, too: you get a side-sweeper brush for pushing dirt into the main suction path, and there are two rubber rollers. These are designed to work well on both carpet and hard floors, and shouldn’t tangle with hair as much as a regular brush roller. I didn’t have a problem with hair at all during testing. That said, even if you run your Roomba i7+ daily, that adds up to a rather tiny operating cost every two to three months. That’s not too shabby, but you might bristle at how much cash iRobot stands to make on these bag replacements. Once you have the rooms sorted, you can get the robot to clean just a specific room or your entire house. The same goes for scheduling, so you can clean different parts of your home at different times. However, it’s quite expensive: with the Clean Base, the RRP is similar to that of the Dyson 360 Heurist, which proved to be more powerful in tests. You’ll have to decide if the convenience of automatic emptying is worth the money, compared to a robot that cleans deeper.

With 3300 mAh, a somewhat smaller lithium-ion battery and thus shorter battery life (approx. 75 minutes)

Send the robot vacuum cleaner on its first cleaning job at the touch of a button in the app - it’ll do the rest. An excellent app that offers fully customisable maps and quality navigation make this a quality robot cleaner, but suction power isn’t as good as rival models. Design and Features The intelligent household helper automatically detects during cleaning whether a particular area is more heavily soiled, thanks to special sensors . But the Roomba i7 Plus Robot Vacuum also offers excellent performance paired with premium features.

The robotic vacuum cleaner hardly reached its limits with the lentils ( short carpet: 94%, long carpet 98%).The robot looks excellent - that’s for sure. Nevertheless, it would be better if there were also other colours. You can still have a conversation in the same room - while the robot vacuum is doing its work - but it’s not that pleasant. The same applies to watching TV in the same room. Since the Roomba i7+ probably cleans the home several times a week, dirt can hardly accumulate in the corners. Roomba i7+ is suitable for pet owners because pet hair can’t wrap itself around the rubber brushes.

That’s because the fast-spinning side brush "flung" some light and grainy lentils across the room from time to time. Test result for oat flakes (removed 45g of 50g | 90 %)One thing’s for sure: iRobot devices in general - and the iRobot Roomba i7+ in particular - are high-priced luxury products. Type A robot vacuum cleaner only, there are no mopping features here. Its Clean Base means you don’t have to manually empty the bin
