About this deal

Kimi is already ensconced in his car – only his helmet and right hand are visible; the hand reaching out for a bottle handed over by Mark Arnall. Arnall’s left hand carries another one. There must always be two bottles, in case one goes missing or breaks. A parched driver is a useless driver. When he and Minttu were getting serious he promised her to be a good boyfriend: no cheating and no lying It was more about Kimi "being Kimi" through some random anecdotes from his life, which was fine with me, and less about Kimi the F1 champion. Enjoyed a lot how one of the best Finnish authors, Kari Hotakainen, drew an image of Kimi’s person by using his ever so recognizable and enjoyable writing style.

An example - We get a story about Kimi meeting his wife. You get to learn more about his wife, who she was before Kimi. They were both single and started dating. Then before the end of the chapter in 2 sentences you read Kimi was married for 10 years later divorced. An that sparks more questions but your off to the next chapter. It did not take long for the former McLaren boss to come up with it as he first coined the term at the start of Kimi’s first season with the team due to the Finn’s calm and often cold demeanour. I think this book has two problems. The first is that Kimi Raikkonen, like most sportspeople is really not all that interesting. The second is that the author, while a perfectly competent writer, does not know enough about motorsport to identify the aspects of his story that might be worth exploring in more detail. Written on Raikkonen’s Alfa Romeo C41 was “Dear Kimi, we will leave you alone now”. Where are his gloves and steering wheel? A sneak peek to publicly hidden world F1 superstar Kimi Raikkonen. A sneak peak to the world of a extremely talented racing driver who doesn’t think to be super star or doesn’t like anything but driving, his family, friends, loyalty and honesty.

We have mentioned he has set a number of records in F1 and this is one of the perhaps slightly lesser-known but equally impressive ones. It’s a great book. Makes you want to invite Kimi for a beer. Didn’t give all the five stars as I would like to have red a longer book. But on the other hand, when I stop thinking about who it was written about, it is rather long book.... here’s the remaining one: ⭐️ Ik heb het boek graag gelezen. The book: Winnow Your Words. Kimi's Book of Haiku, was originally released by Philip Morris International (PMI) as part of the press kit when the company launched its Mission Winnow initiative with its partner Scuderia Ferrari at the Japan Grand Prix in Suzuka. Conceptually this is perhaps the least likely book ever to have been scripted – and therein lies its appeal … This is an attempt to portray the real Kimi Räikkönen, warts and all, and it does so in a balanced manner.’It’s all over in ten minutes and Kimi skips towards the pit area. His way of advancing is somewhere between running and walking. The nimble figure darts like a hare through the area and he finds his way into the depths of Ferrari’s garage. He’s gone. Mysterious are the ways of this man. The book is a collection of the Scuderia Ferrari driver's quotes turned into Haikus - a form of Japanese poetry comprising three lines of five, seven, and five syllables. But Raikkonen, not known for his conformity, has created Haiku poems to his own length. He looks up, down, past the reporters, anywhere except straight at them. For him, dark glasses were invented to protect a man from other people’s eyes, not the sun.

In fact, he cannot even stand them when the person on the end does have something rather important to say. After being told over a call that a deal had been reached for him to drive for Ferrari in 2014, he threw his mobile into the sea. Not sure why. Maybe the thought alone of all the congratulatory texts was too much for him. He is the last Ferrari champion The book Winnow Your Words: Kimi’s Book of Haiku, was originally released by Philip Morris International (PMI) as part of the press kit when the company launched its Mission Winnow initiative with its partner Scuderia Ferrari at the Japan Grand Prix in Suzuka. Speaking of chilled, it was a hot Sunday in Malaysia for the 2009 Malaysian Grand Prix, though a torrential downpour would bring out the red flags as the race was suspended.Räikkönen on tunnettu vähäpuheisuudestaan, ja kirjan näkökulma saa ymmärtämään, miten vaivalloista introvertille miehelle on kaikki Formuloiden sivutoiminta, eli julkisuus ja siihen kuuluvat lieveilmiöt. Sillä todellisuudessa minä halusin tietää, kuka on Kimi Räikkönen. One More Toy has been seen in the Monaco harbour various times since then and he has also added a smaller one to his collection called the Iceman. Through its gnomic brevity, Haiku articulates the profundity of simple moments or ideas. Fans delight in Raikkonen’s taciturn non-conformity, laced with succinct humour, and in his hands the Haikus open a window to his very soul, for example:
