Now we present the reinterpretation of the popular 1-DIN car radio and unite the USPs of the 80s model with new technologies and functions. The result is the Blaupunkt Bremen SQR 46 DAB.

AM/FM Tuner: The built-in AM/FM tuner provides manual, seek, scan, and preset tuning. The unit offers 3 FM banks and 1 AM bank; you can store up to 5 radio stations in each bank for a total of 20 radio presets. With Travelstore, you can automatically search for and store the 5 AM or FM stations offering the strongest reception in the current bank. Any previously stored stations in this memory bank are deleted in the process. The scan feature allows you to scan either every receivable station or every stored station of a current AM/FM band.

Key features for us E30 owners are RDS radio (not HD as far as I can tell), DAB (European HD radio protocol, not useful for US users), Bluetooth calling and audio streaming, front-facing SDHC, USB, and 3.5mm inputs, and a rear-facing USB input. It also has 5 preamp outs, which I didn't use in this install since I'm keeping the factory four-speaker config. It has hard buttons for FM1, FM2, FMT, and AM, but no hard button for BT audio source.
