But why put in this part? When Moses asks God “who should I say sent me?” here, God says, “Jehovah” - but that's not what the story actually says. God says, “say, ’I AM’ has sent you”. And this is literally the verb “I am” or “be” or “is”. God does not use a proper name like “Jehovah” here. I know this is a confusing sentence in the actual Bible, but this really changes what it means, I think. A graphic novel of the very best kind. Where messages that you want your kids to live by are served their way, like: "Love is your calling". And, that about sums up all of life and this book. I just realized - through the eyes of a Dungeons & Dragons player, David rolled a crit when he hit Goliath! (Sorry - side note.) But I like that they focused on the Sermon of the Mount, and highlighted the gist of the teachings of Jesus: “Love is your calling.” (Though, I guess, some might call this commentary, too.)

My 12 year old and I read this at first together. Now he's reading it again; and, this time on his own. Let that sink in: My 12 year old son is reading the Bible, on his own, and enjoying every minute. Can I get a "Hallelujah!" and an "Amen!"? The illustrations fun; so much so, your little "gamer" will most likely find inspiration (in Biblical sized proportions) regarding how to incorporate Bible stories into their builds!
