About this deal

It’s hugely impressive in terms of build quality, handling, and the performance of its autofocus and stabilization systems. That said, the improvement in the center is less dramatic at telephoto and the improvement in the corners is more noticeable than it was at wide-angle. I'm just getting started into the list of uses for this lens and the range of video uses for this lens is as broad as for stills.

Fashion, portraiture, weddings, parties, events, documentary, lifestyle, travel, sports, architecture, land/city/nightscapes, around-the-house needs, general studio applications including product photography and much more.EX DG HSM is Sigma's latest version of this lens and this one comes in a mount for all of the just-mentioned cameras (except Tamron as they do not currently make cameras). If Sony FE can support dozens of redundant primes I think there's def room for more lenses like my Tamron 28-200. This structure contributes not only to the outstanding optical performance of the lens but also to its high rigidity and confidence-inspiring build quality.

However, there are also plenty of differences between the two models, especially in terms of camera and imaging features. Intriguingly, the most expensive lens of the three — the Nikkor 24-70mm — has the highest distortion at every focal length save 70mm, where it an equal amount (–0.

Fujifilm's newest camera aims to bring modern AF, improved sensor stabilization and video recording technology into the medium format realm. A powerful ally in every genre of photography, SIGMA’s Art line lenses excel both in the studio for formal works and outdoors for impressive shots of architecture, starry skies, and many other scenes.

As an experienced lens manufacturer that has been creating a diverse range of interchangeable lenses, we have started the innovative chargeable service “Mount Conversion Service”. Sometimes I can easily and accurately describe the image sharpness a lens delivers in a couple of sentences and this usually reflects excellent image sharpness being delivered – or at least consistency over the focal length range. The two Sigma lenses perform similarly, with the Art having slightly less barrel distortion between 24mm and 28mm and slightly more pincushion from 35mm to 70mm.

When looking more closely at the results, we can see that Sigma has gone to great lengths to achieve a more consistent level of sharpness, particularly wide-open at f/2. In addition, a variety of functions, such as an AFL button that can assign various functions to the lens barrel, a zoom lock switch that is unlocked by zoom operation, a nice touch AF / MF switch, are provided. The acutance profile below shows the sharpness profile of the three lenses at their longest focal length and at f/2. From an early stage in the lens design process, flare and ghosting have been measured to establish an optical design resistant to strong incident light sources such as backlighting. AF-operation of the new Sigma is inaudible from the outside or if you record video with the built-in microphone.
