After months of curiosity, I decided to spring for a sample of Kirke as my intro to the House of Tiziana Terenzi and. I agree with the “fruity” and “tropical,” and it should be delightful, but I cannot say that I 100% enjoy it. She has a violent gaging reaction, and not only to the original Kirke, but to all sorts of imitations and dupes.

When sprayed on clothes, it's like putting your nose into a bottle of laundry detergent – there is something pleasant going on scent-wise, but it is way too concentrated and dangerously chemical. Fast forward a little after 10pm, washing my arms multiple times and taking a shower and I can still smell a faint scent left over. Top notes are Passionfruit, Peach, Pear, Raspberry, Cassis and Sand; middle note is Lily-of-the-Valley; base notes are Musk, Sandalwood, Vanilla, Patchouli and Heliotrope.

Personally, I have a very developed sense of smell and other perfumes start to bother me over time, but not this one.

But what I will say now is that the next day after wearing this resulted in my shirt smelling dreadfully screechy (kinda like an intensely sulfur-ish book of matches had just been lit) where I had sprayed some of this fragrance -- not unlike the same screechy residue when I recently tried Xerjoff's Erba Pura. I have Lamar by Kajal, and what I love about that is that is is just as eternal and powerful as Kirke, but it never loses its fruitiness. Terenzi is very Italian, there is emotion in this scent, I am feeling it, warm energy, it is red petals floating all around me, joyous. The bottle is also super good quality and looks very expensive, I have trouble with the lid falling off and causing an almighty thud but that’s my own fault for picking it up by the lid!

However, this also has a tinge of "pantene" hair conditioner vibe when I smell this and erba pura side by side. It took many washes to get rid of this scent that was on my clothes, so if you like it, congrats on being a powerhouse in that area. I was surprised that this holds up in high heat and humidity pretty well (it’s in the mid 90s today where I live, very very humid, and I’ve been sweating and this fragrance is still going strong). You need to give this some time to settle - the initial blast is a nostril-irritating punch of alcohol.
