About this deal

Like most things in life, problems arise when people use them too often and to intensively. It's not a scrub and should not be used in place of one. If you're overzealously rubbing your cloth across your face to get the most 'exfoliation,' you're doing it wrong. For Best Results: Massage over dry skin with fingertips in circular motions. Run the muslin cloth under warm water, wring out excess, and gently wipe over skin to remove the balm. Ensure care around the delicate eye area. Take a small amount of cleanser (around the size of a 50p coin) and apply to the skin, steering clear of the eyes if needed. Massage gently into the skin for 60 seconds. Step 5: Rinse it off This cleanser is light and fresh and transforms into a soft, creamy foam when applied to your skin. Formulated with No7’s Tri-Vit Complex and Red Ginseng, it gently removes make-up, impurities and pollutants, and revitalises your skin. After using this I unfortunately found my face felt dry and tight. I’m not sure whether it was mainly to do with the cloth being too abrasive or whether the cleanser just wasn’t very nourishing. I would have to say I don’t think I would use this again mainly for this reason as I can suffer with quite dry skin around this time of year and I wouldn’t want to accentuate it.

With that in mind, Boots No7 has just launched a new range of Radiant Results Cleansers. There are six products in the range, split into three categories, so it’s easy to see which cleansers will suit your skin’s needs. No matter what we do during the day, dirt, impurities and pollutants pile up on the surface of our skin. If we don’t remove this debris, it can lead to congested pores or breakouts over time. That’s why it’s important to remove every trace of make-up and properly cleanse the skin before your head hits the pillow. We’ll walk you through the different types of cleansers available on the market and what each one does for your skin – plus how to determine which will leave your skin feeling cleansed, soothed, hydrated and refreshed. Gel Cleansers This is a soft, creamy clay cleanser that gently and thoroughly removes make-up, impurities, pollutants and excess oil. This deep cleanser is formulated with No7’s Tri-Vit Complex and Meadowsweet, as well as containing 10% clay to absorb oil and impurities as well as reducing the appearance of pores. Designed to help mattify, it leaves skin looking shine free, fresh and clean.

This is a luxurious hot cloth cleanser whcih No7 say is like a spa treatment for your skin. The indulgent, creamy formulation effortlessly removes make-up, impurities and pollutants, while the gentle exfoliating muslin cloth polishes away dead skin cells, smoothing skin.

However, I've become disenchanted somewhat with the Liz Earle Cleanser in recent years because it get's consistently more expensive despite her company getting bigger and bigger all the time (she has been selling in the US for some years now too). So I decided to try my sister's No. 7 Hot Cloth cleanser while visiting her for a few weeks. It is VERY obviously copying Liz Earle's product, what with the pump, the name "hot cloth cleanser", the muslin cloth, the same routine etc. The huge difference is the ingredients. The Liz Earle product has only natural ingredients and oils, you can really feel and smell the difference. The No.7 one has a lot of chemically ingredients and isnt nearly as rich as the Liz Earle product. I would say that they are both as equally effective as each other in removing full make up, however the liz earle one can be used for the eyes and it does not sting one tiny bit, whereas the No 7 one stung my eyes when I tried that. The No 7 product did not leave my face dry or sore though, which is great news for me.

Cleansing is key to a good skincare routine. It all begins with cleansing – in the morning – and ends with it, in the evening. As well as getting your makeup off, and cleansing your skin from the grime of the day, choosing the right cleanser is important in anti-ageing, and your skin’s wellbeing. That’s it – you’re done! Now it’s time to move on to the rest of your skincare routine. How often should you use cleanser? Pores are small openings in the skin which allow oil and sweat to reach the surface of the skin. You have two types of pores – oil pores and sweat pores. Oil pores are larger, and when congested, can be more visible on the surface of the skin.
