The 2017 reissue seems to be the best bet sound wise after the first US press (94) and the European/Holland (1992) pressing right? I have a sealed copy of the 0-7464-47857-1 issue that has a sticker on the back of it that says colored vinyl. Today, Ten lives and dies by its album tracks, and while there are a few clunkers, most are pretty ballsy in their disdain for expectations. We carry a broad range of CDs and vinyl (7”/12” singles and LPs) and specialise in indie, alternative, rock, punk, metal plus a few other genres. Based on all the negative reaction towards the original Dutch release, I'm guessing that one was done quickly and without much care.

It felt like “Once” sounded a little weird at the beginning and had a little bit of surface noise, but it was mostly clean. I did read a few positive comments on this so I definitely hope it beats the original Holland release but we will see.

Wasn’t even planning on listening to the remix and was about to send the whole thing back because the remaster is meekly cut to noisy vinyl. The band is routinely blamed for the self-gratifying Stone Temple Pilots, Creeds, and Nicklebacks that followed Ten, but the band naturally never set out to remake rock music in its own image.The public perception of the album is watered down thanks mainly to the excision of "Alive", "Jeremy", and "Even Flow" as singles. After comparing both 'Once' and 'Even Flow' from both Lp's I can say that with the song 'Once' there isn't that much of a difference to my ears,the Target 2020(2017 mastering) is a little lower on the sound but sounds decent when cranked up. Please only add matrices variants to this release if at least one of the two sides begins with "[MPO logo] 20. The more recent Redux version was an interesting listen, but even if I did like that remix better it had too little dynamics in comparison. Stupidest thing is the cardboard sleeve the vinyl came in, completely scuffed the record, even if it DNAP it bring the grade of the vinyl down to VG+ at best, right out of the jacket, brand new.

I assume Target works with a third party who usually just takes whatever the most recent mastering is and presses it on colored vinyl? Also, since this was remastered in 2009 (and they released the Brendan O'Brien "Redux" version) and then reissued again a couple years' back, I'm curious about the mastering on this version.Sounding like 2005 rather than 1991, Ten Redux misses the point: The album's murkiness was one of its chief attractions, its flawed spontaneity feeding the songs' of-the-moment intensity.
