Here you will find everything your heart desires: In case you're not familiar with Pusheen, the book opens with a little intro -- her birthday, gender, best feature ("toe beans"), hobbies, favorite foods ("All of them"), and so on. There's also a cute little intro for her fluffy baby sister Stormy. As an emoji and animated GIF, the little cat began to create real competition with smileys, thanks to her expressive emotions, and gave both personal messages and comments on Facebook an extra something. In 2013, a collection of comic strips with the title ‘I am Pusheen’ was released as a book, which is of course available in the range on the EMP Pusheen online shop.

The really charming part of Pusheen is that her little adventures are pretty true to kitty-life, and there's a lot of stuff that will charm cat-owners (such as her ways of trying to fix technology, which involve staring, shoving and chewing on it). But there's also a whimsical side (Pusheen's fantasies of being a rainbow-maned kittycorn) that gets in Pusheen's head, and her little adventures are just adorable. A careful understanding of the thread(s) containing the images makes one truly appreciate the ‘story-telling’ and ‘visuals’. Aptly titled, this book offers an insight into the ‘people’ comprising the world of ‘Pusheen’, with ‘cameos’ by some of the creations part of the second installment of the series.

For people who do not like to ‘journal’, for instance, this book series might, as a suggestion, serve as a means to ‘unwind’ and relax post-work. I cannot emphasise enough on the warmth and happiness the book series has brought to me. It should not be interpreted as an ‘only for children’ product. A sense of positivity must not be restricted by factors such as age and/or gender. Pusheen is like a lot of cats -- she loves food, sleeping in inconvenient places, being petted, and yodeling at two in the morning. The book contains such things as the "petting chart," her games, a guide to "acquiring" treats, sleeping positions, fantasies about being either tiny or huge, career options, things that look like cats, scary stories for a cat, cat etiquette, dinocats, reasons you should be a cat, practical uses for marshmallows, being fancy, where to sleep, how to cook Pusheen-style, and so on.
