As the cold case turns white hot, Elizabeth wrestles with her conscience (and a gun), while Joyce, Ron and Ibrahim chase down clues with help from old friends and new. The mysteries are complex, the characters vivid, and the whole thing is laced with warm humor and—remarkably, considering the body count—good feeling. Your next must-read mystery series.”

The Last Devil To Die: The Thursday Murder Club 4 eBook

What is truly special in the books are the characters, whose age allows for a beautiful kind of interaction… For all the fizz of jokes and romance, the books carry with them a sense of grief and sadness which becomes much stronger in The Last Devil to Die…The kindness is his books comes out of something greater for Osman. It’s how he wants the world to be and it’s how he thinks the world is, if only we could realize it.” Oh please, write some more Thursday Murder mysteries. They are such fun. I love all the characters, and the puzzles of the murders. Pleeeeeeeeese!!! Reply The Last Devil to Die is equal parts well-plotted mystery, scintillating repartee and deep reflection on what it means to love and live.”

If Richard told the sixteen year old version of himself that he would end up writing a book, he would say, yes of course, it makes total sense. This is because at sixteen, he spent all his time with some paper and a pen, mainly just writing down jokes. Younger him would be incredibly proud of writing a novel however the first thing he would ask is how many copies did he sell? I certainly hope there are MANY more Thursday Murder Club books to come as they are so entertaining. My daughter [in her 40’s] has got me hooked. As I am reading The Bullet That Missed , and I laugh out loud, my husband asks your book again? While author Richard Osman will be moving on to write a second series, he assured me (and the many other readers who are similarly invested) that he’ll return to the funny, sweet stories of my favorite retirement home sleuths. The Last Devil to Die is a beautiful send-off that will get us through the wait.” I am halfway through The Thursday Murder Club. Am finding it an absolutely clever, witty and well crafted book to read. The characters are charming. Every day I can’t wait to sit with a coffee and this book to read a while. Am trying not to read it to fast as I don’t want the pleasure to end. Bravo to you Richard Osman. Will definitely be reading the rest of your books Reply

The Bullet That Missed: (The Thursday Murder Club 3)

Incredibly clever, with some deeply poignant scenes and laugh-out-loud shenanigans from the elderly friends, this fourth entry in the series is chaotically fun…Osmanweaves numerous plot lines, both tragic and hilarious, into an irresistible novel, perfect for fans of Mrs. Pollifax or Miss Marple.” He was born with nystagmus, an eye condition that significantly reduces his vision, he memorizes entire scripts since this condition makes it tough to read an autocue. Trouble is never far for the Thursday Murder Club and fans of this hit book series from Richard Osman, just can't wait to see what they are up to in their adventure! Richard might be the one that provides all of the missing Pointless answers yet he is not involved in writing the questions and claims he isn’t as brainy as some might think. He is good at doing quizzes and words and he has a good memory. Since he cannot see very well, he has had to listen a ton and take in information very well. I’m ‘dying’ to learn the title of the new book 4, due out in September 2023. Loved books 1-3 and have read them multiple times…just can’t sit to hear that Richard will continue to write more and more! ReplyOpening the new Osman is like sitting down to dinner with treasured friends you know are going to kill you - deliciously!' PETER JAMES The strands of the plot multiply entertainingly and get tied together in the usual satisfying way… Osman serves up another delightful mystery.”

He wrote this novel in secret as he worked his other jobs before he sprung it on eager agents. In all, it took him eighteen months to write it. He gave it a month, then thought he quite liked it. Richard was doing a little bit less producing, and an idea came to him when he had the time and some discipline. I LOVE Thursday Murder Club. As a 76 year old woman, it’s refreshing to find a well written, intriguing mystery where the “old folks” aren’t always the victims or crazies, but are respected by the writer for the wealth of knowledge they hold. One doesn’t have to leap over tall buildings (or even hedges) to contribute to the world. Thank you you including us in your world.
