About this deal

A Secret Cornish Summer is a fascinating read, with a magnificent storyline, full of interesting extensive details. But as she gets to know Levan, Eden begins to wonder if he might be different - until she discovers he's not quite what he seems. The setting of this novel was beautiful and it really makes you think about how difficult the life of a lighthouse keeper could have been, alone, and away from your family for weeks at a time, and how difficult it must have been for the families left behind as well. Both were running away and trying to recover from things they'd experienced, so you knew that there would be secrets revealed and fireworks would explode. Eden had broken up with her cheating and lying ex, Simon, and moved home to be with her mother and grandmother in Cornwall.

Levan is a 'cyber security expert using using a seafront shelter as a'ecurity location' on phone to Dion. The confrontation wasn't as final, and I could easily imagine Simon coming back, but he's a complete slimeball. However i wasn’t counting on spending the whole morning just reading the book without stopping until I had finished.

Built like a Greek god watching/spying on him through the fence might be sneaky but, definitely worth it. Thank you to Avon Books UK for the opportunity to read and review a copy of A Secret Cornish Summer by Phillipa Ashley. Eden appears to be living the dream running her own coffee business in the beautiful Cornish peninsular but she is unable to let her guard down since her ex husband lied and cheated leaving her with nothing including.

Eden lives with her mother in a cottage next to a lighthouse in Cornwall, since her ex-husband betrayed her she has struggled with making relationships with men.

It was a lovely romantic plot but also without giving away any spoilers had other themes/plots to keep my interest.Eden and Levan have a rocky road, but they can handle it and will come out at the end of the path stronger as one.

Her writing is incredibly addictive and I could almost smell the coffee in Eden’s roastery and the tang of the salt in the sea air. When Eden steps out of her beautiful coastal cottage to find a Speedo-wearing, suntanned stranger doing yoga in next door's garden, she is immediately on her guard. Eden needs to learn to trust men again after her ex-husband Simon betrayed her - can she learn to trust Leven? The main characters of Eden and Levan are well written, and I look forward to the author's next book. The book has a lovely Cornish setting and the the was of fresh starts, family secrets and hopeful futures are always welcome in a summer book.Since her ex-husband betrayed her in the worst possible ways, she has kept her distance from all men, taking refuge in her start-up coffee business.
