About this deal

The Genius X does command a premium for this technological upgrade and you get a little less in the box. All of the electric toothbrushes weigh 130g with the tooth brush head and are relatively small with a dimensions of 23cm x 2.5cm x 3cm with the tooth brush head. The Smart 6 comes with1 x CrossAction, 1 x Pro White/3D White and 1 x Sensitive brush head, but the Genius 9000 comes with one additional brush head, that is the FlossAction head. I am confident that the Genius X motor is more powerful. I think the Pro 5000 you might have has something in the region of 8,800 oscillations and either 20,000 or 40,000 pulsations. Perfecting your brushing routine, including the brushing time, technique and frequency will bring more positive benefit than any particular toothbrush.

The Oral-B Pro 2000, 3000 and 2500 all use the 3D oscillating rotating mechanism of action at 40,000 pulsations and 8,800 oscillations per minute. They will therefore clean your teeth with the same power on the daily clean mode. The Oral-B Pro 3000 trumps the others by being able to adjust the pulsations and oscillations with a sensitive cleaning mode. If you do not have sensitive teeth, this function will be irrelevant for you. You will get 56 minutes of cleaning which is two weeks worth of brushing twice a day for 2 minutes. The battery life is much better because of the lithium ion battery. Should I leave the Oral-B Pro 2 2500 charging after every use?

JOKE OF THE DAY

Oral B Pro 2 2500 N with its bristle protection technology helps inhibit microbial growth for up to three months. The additional advantage is that it notifies you to brush all the corners of your mouth. Power isn’t normally promoted or documented as it is a small part of the toothbrushing experience. More power doesn’t necessarily equal a better clean. Your total brushing time and technique have a big part to play. The roundhead of the toothbrush cleans more effectively in comparison to a normal brush. It comes with two modes for daily clean and gum care. It has a visible pressure sensor for stopping you if you are too harsh on your teeth. The Pro 3 3000 has 3 cleaning modes (Daily Clean, Sensitive & Whitening) compared to the 2 modes (Daily Clean & Sensitive) of the Pro 2 2000. You get the standard features like the 2 minute timer, 30 second pacer, rechargeable battery and fading indicator bristles on the brush head.

It is designed this way to mimic their top of the line iO Series and does away with the large rubber grip on the front of the handle that you find on the 2500. I don’t have the figures of the number of oscillations and pulsations on the older Pro 5000 available to give confirmation of the power difference. And add to this, there have been various iterations of the 5000 over the years, so it would be important to find out the exact one to say 100%. All system components (e.g., toothbrush handle, charger, power cord, SmartGuide). You do not need to include accessories like the brush heads or refill stand. Its brush heads are made from petroleum-based plastic, which uses up the planet’s finite resources compared to using plant-based plastics. All the electric toothbrushes on test today have a “Protimer”. This is a helpful on handle timer that buzzes every 30 seconds. After four of these buzzes you will have completed your recommended 2 minutes of brushing. Features: Verdict
