This anniversary release: To celebrate the 25th Anniversary of the album’s recording, producer Ry Cooder and World Circuit’s Nick Gold have gone back to the original tapes and into the archive to produce this Deluxe Remaster package, featuring previously unheard tracks from the original 1996 recording sessions, previously unseen photos, and new liner notes. Further, if opened and sellers can see the labels, the 2015 states Made in EU on the labels and 2019 reads Made in Germany. When it was first released a quarter of a century ago, the Buena Vista Social Club album - a concept album produced by Ry Cooder and Juan de Marcos Gonzalez, featuring veteran Cuban musicians recreating music that had been popular on the island nation in the 1940s and '50s - had a huge cultural impact.Great sense of air and space, you can feel the room of the Recording Studio, almost can measure the distance between the performers. Not only did it sell like hotcakes around the World, leading to a US tour and documentary film, but it also raised interest in Cuban music, something that has sustained to this day. Then again, all my other Cuban music is CDRs purchased directly from bar bands in Havana and Varadero. what are we looking at in terms of "previously unheard tracks from the original 1996 recording sessions?

The project was organized by World Circuit executive Nick Gold, produced by American guitarist Ry Cooder and directed by Juan de Marcos González. Mastering is stella , however, pressing is not good quality, there is non-fills and scratches on some tracks as well backgound noise .

He did the VMP version in 2020 too, but this was probably a digital affair because VMP does not mention it's AAA.
