About this deal

The Hogwarts magical symbol has no specific name. However, some fans refer to it by its motto. In Latin, it says – Draco Dormiens Nunquam Titillandus. When consulted, I shall propose the Latin phrase—Draco Scutum. It means—Dragon Shield in English. Includes 5 minifigures: Harry Potter™, Ron Weasley™, Hermione Granger™, Remus Lupin and the Trolley Witch, plus Dementor™ and Scabbers™ figures. My girls are obsessed with I Spy books! This is a perfect distraction for even the littlest Harry Potter Fan from Paper Trail Designs 3. Haas, Heather A. (15 April 2011). "The Wisdom of Wizards-and Muggles and Squibs: Proverb Use in the World of Harry Potter". The Journal of American Folklore. 124 (492): 29–54. doi: 10.5406/jamerfolk.124.492.0029. JSTOR 10.5406/jamerfolk.124.492.0029. The Sorting Hat claims that blood purity is a factor in selecting Slytherins, although this is not mentioned until the fifth book. There is no reason to believe, however, that Muggle-born students are not sorted there, merely that pure-blooded students are more desirable to that house, as there are several examples of half-bloods in the house– such as Snape and Tom Riddle/Voldemort – and Harry himself was only excluded from the house at his own insistence. In Deathly Hallows, a group of Snatchers claim that "not many Mudbloods" are sorted into Slytherin. There were usually no adults aboard the Hogwarts Express except the trolley witch and the driver. [3] [12] Occasionally, new teachers (such as Remus Lupin and Horace Slughorn) could be found aboard the train as well. [12] [13] According to the trolley witch, the train didn't take kindly to students who tried to leave when it was moving, possibly implying that it had some form of sentience. On arrival at our head office at Carnforth their attention was immediately drawn to GWR 4900 5972 Olton Hall, built in 1937 by Great Western Railways in Swindon more recently carefully restored to its original condition by West Coast Railways. The entire wall and archway structure is assembled upside down and attached to the platform using Technic axles. The resultant shape looks brilliant, faithfully replicating the architecture of Kings Cross Station. Some gaps are visible between the 2x2 tiles, although they are small and likely unavoidable. Spherical light fixtures flank the central arch, again corresponding with the films. Several model trains have been made of the Hogwarts Express. An 00 gauge is produced by Hornby, though this is of a Castle Class locomotive rather than the Hall Class used in the films. A three-rail H0 gauge model is produced by Märklin, and a two-rail H0/00 was produced in the early 2000s by Bachmann. Several now-discontinued L gauge models have been produced by LEGO. Lionel has released an O gauge set in their 2007 catalogue and a G gauge set for 2008. [27] [28] The yellow and dark blue decoration on each torso looks superb, alongside accurate icons for Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw. While their part numbers are new, both elements return from 76389 Hogwarts Chamber of Secrets. Additionally, these double-sided heads are quite uncommon, as the male design has appeared twice before, while the female head is found in 76399 Hogwarts Magical Trunk.

Speaking of which, the three train compartments each depict a scene from the movie: Harry, Ron, and Hermione's very first encounter, Professor Lupin saving Harry from the Dementor in the third movie. and Luna saving Harry from Draco's spell in the sixth movie. The set also includes 20 minifigures including multiple versions of the main characters, Ron, Hermione, Remus, Ginny, Draco, and a Dementor. Throughout the films, the Hogwarts Express has had its iconic whistle but in the third film, a different whistle is used. The reason for this change is unknown. For other uses, see Chamber of Secrets (disambiguation). The Chamber of Secrets as seen in the second filmIn the films and books, it is suggested the staff of the train, in particular the witch with the food trolley, are able to pass through to see the driver of the train. Under normal circumstances this wouldn't be possible, as there is no path through the tender to the cab of the engine. However, the LNER A3/A4s featured a "corridor tender" that allowed for on the fly crew changes. This was done to allow non stop passenger service from King's Cross to Scotland. Crews would change over by way of a special corridor built through the tender that connected with the rest of the train. This directly contradicts the films, as the tender used is a standard GWR tender, thus rendering safe passage between the locomotive and coaches impossible. However, it is also likely that the staff are able to use a standard teleportation or levitation spell for this purpose. In 1827, Ottaline Gambol rose to the office of Minister for Magic, and she made a daring and controversial suggestion to solve the ages-old problem of how to transport hundreds of students to and from Hogwarts Castle every school year without attracting the Muggles' attention. Interestingly, the school adopted their last names for the faculties and used animals to identify them. Thus, a lion, snake, eagle, and badger greet visitors whenever they visit each house. Because that's what Lego is about: modularity, compatibility. They actually should have included a warning on the box: caution not compatible with Lego City trains. I wouldn't have noticed this without reading the review just from the store description and the official images - who counts studs to see if this train has a different gauge from all the other trains?
