The build quality is much better than competitive products at this price, and the optics are on the better end for the price range as well. The only real issues I have are the fact that you can’t see both actual and slope-adjusted distances simultaneously, and that there’s no magnet. Seriously intrigued by this rangefinder. I have a friend who loves his, but I just haven’t been able to pull the trigger yet. The Cobalt Q-6 Slope has been one of my favorite rangefinders over the past year, and was even given the high praise of “most accurate” in this review. Plus, the digital accelerometer makes sure that no matter what angle you’re aiming from or visual disruptions may be present; you’ll get accurate readings each time. User Experience And Ease Of UseIt seems at least equal to Bushnell if not better. I tested against a Bushnell V2 shift and while numbers were slightly different (almost every time) they were within 1/2 yd of each other. They both gave consistent numbers and seemed to have a similar experience. Cobalt touts being able to shoot up to 450 yds which I amazing but not something I have a ton of utility for. That said, if people keep hitting the ball farther and farther they may need to start knowing where hazards are at 450 yds off the tee. Accuracy seemed excellent. I was able to compare with a number of other units, including my older Bushnells,and the yardages were identical. I've only used it a couple of times at my home club, and the “plays like” distances in Slope more also seemed accurate. Yes, it was the stabilized version, but I’ve never had an issue with it using a magnet. I’ve since moved on to a Cobalt range finder. Still have my nikon, but it’s kept in my stand bag and only gets used at the practice facility/range. Great review, I currently don’t have the slope feature on my rangefinder and this would be nice for hilly courses. This is the second shot at the 14th, the reading gave me 201 yards in standard mode, 190 yards in Slope mode. Having played hundreds of rounds here, this is spot-on.
