About this deal

The Flight of Cornelia Blackwood was published in 2019 to critical acclaim, appearing on a number of ‘best of’ lists that year. I loved getting to know more about her past, and I was finally able to make that vital connection between Emily and Anna. All You Ever Wanted is a change of genre for the author as it's more of a psychological thriller and it took me a while to get used to the author writing in this genre.

She’s a teacher at the same school where her husband Simon, an administrator, was once engaged to another teacher (long story. Susan cranks up the creep factor in all the right places making this a slow-burning domestic thriller with a deep heart. I found this to be a gripping and compelling read and I was intrigued to find out if Emily was a reliable narrator.I would definitely be interested in a sequel to this book, but in many ways it was the perfect ending. Penny Hancock, author of The Choice'An unnerving, suspenseful study of what it truly means to mother and build family ties. This is such a dark and emotional read and i certainly wasn't prepared for how emotionally tied I would be to the characters. It was already so gripping; every event, no matter how small, had me hanging onto the author’s every word.

I’m the author of five novels so far, and have alsio written a number of non-fiction, health-related books as well as hundreds of features for magazines. You can also check out my news and forthcoming events (nothing much on the cards until later this year, when All You Ever Wanted will be published). Up until this point, their relationship hadn’t been at its best, but I was so grateful things had improved when Emily needed her the most. She has a challenging relationship with her adoptive mother and has felt increasingly isolated from her old friends since marrying her husband Simon. Now Anna went from foster home to foster home, her upbringing was the total opposite to Emily’s privileged background, why is she so keen to have all of Emily’s time? The back and forth between Emily and Anna really increased the tension as the ending got closer; just as Emily is coming to terms with things and being super accommodating to Anna, we read more about Anna behind the scenes, and I was starting to have a mini panic. I knew this was my kind of book as soon as I started reading, and it’s absolutely one of my top reads of the year! Starting this part of the book from Anna’s point of view was very interesting indeed, and I was already thinking about so much. Gripping throughout, it has a satisfying and jaw-dropping ending' My Weekly'This is not a predictable thriller, I was very surprised by some of the turns. Subtle, yet clever details let us know that Emily was one of the characters involved in an accident in the book’s prologue, and it was nice to let my brain piece things together, things that we aren’t told outright.
