Students designed the kettle as part of a task devised by Isle of Man based Strix, which is regarded as a world leader in the design of control systems for electric kettles. In recent years impatient consumers have demanded kettles that boil faster and faster. But boosting the power has meant an increase in the associated noise. Collecting the old product which is officially counted as WEEE (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment). These products are separated into the correct waste flow at our local depots and send directly to government approved WEEE recycling plants.
