About this deal

Heat presses come in both manual and automatic models. Manual versions require physical force to open and close the press, while an automatic press uses a timer function to open and close. Semi-automatic models, a hybrid of the two, also are available. The size of press you need depends on the size of the images you wish to press. The capability of your printer should play a part in the decision-making process to (if you’re creating your own transfers), there’s no point investing in a 16×20 inch heat press machine for instance if you only have an A4 printer. We imported a range of Chinese flatbed presses, but we stopped offering them simply because they are a lot more demanding when it comes to after-sales support, than the branded presses. Not long ago, heat-press machines were used only in commercial settings. However, with the increase in home die-cutting machines, these machines are now available for home and small- business use. When choosing a heat-press machine, consider these variables: the available printing area, the type of application and materials, temperature range, and manual versus automatic. The Teflon coated heat plate measures 15 by 15 inches and it is made of press-casting aluminum. The Teflon layer is resistant to high temperatures and is easy to clean. The pressure can be adjusted easily using the adjustment knob.

Transfer paper works best at 350°F, but the temperature can be raised to 375°F. The temperature should never be lowered below 350°F, making it the lowest possible limit. In centigrade, the range is 177 to 191 °C. For the best result, let the 350°F work for 10–12 seconds. What temperature should I heat press wood? This heat press machine comes with five different pieces of equipment. The machine itself comes fully assembled with a hat press, a mug press, two plate presses and two pads (silicone and cotton). It also comes with an instructions manual. If we sell a Geo Knight, Stahls or Transmatic press, in the vast majority of cases we’ll never have any work to do in terms of support or servicing, and if there is – the manufacturer takes care of most of it for us if there are any issues, which is rare. A timer is also included with this press to safely regulate the time taken to set the best quality of print over a maximum temperature of 450°F.

The Cricut Easy Press 2 is next – this is by far the most popular machine for home use (we have 3 of them)! You'll also have a choice between digital and analogue, which refers to the type of inbuilt timer. If you're printing in large batches a digital timer can help increase efficiency and may be preferable. There are also rotary presses, but these are wide format heat presses, and they’re generally far more expensive and are usually used for pressing fabric in high volumes.

Threadable, What’s That?

Clam presses are often favoured amongst garment printers as they require less operator effort, and they make for slightly faster production speeds with slightly less physical user effort required as with swing away presses.
